Abstract

A composite board comprising a first layer having an orientation and a second layer bonded to the first layer where the second layer comprises a plurality of wooden veneer structures, each wooden veneer structure is substantially perpendicular to the orientation of the first layer.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . A composite board comprising: a first layer having an orientation; and a second layer bonded to the first layer, the second layer comprising a plurality of wooden veneer structures, wherein each wooden veneer structure is substantially perpendicular to the orientation of the first layer.

2 . The composite board of claim 1 , further comprising a third layer, wherein the second layer is in between the first and third layers.

3 . The composite board of claim 1 , further comprising a fourth layer in between the first and second layers.

4 . The composite board of claim 1 , further comprising a plurality of third layers, wherein the second layer is in between the first layer and the plurality of third layers.

5 . The composite board of claim 1 , wherein each of the wooden veneer structures has at least one glue layer substantially perpendicular to the orientation of the first layer.

6 . The composite board of claim 1 , wherein each of the wooden veneer structures comprises: a first and second wooden layers; and a glue layer between the first and second wooden layers, the glue layer substantially perpendicular to the orientation of the first layer.

7 . The composite board of claim 1 , wherein: the first layer has a second orientation perpendicular to the first orientation; each of the wooden veneer structures has a grain direction; and the grain direction of each of the wooden veneer structures is substantially parallel to the second orientation of the first layer.

8 . The composite board of claim 1 , wherein the wooden veneer structures are bonded together.

9 . The composite board of claim 1 , wherein each of the wooden veneer structures is made of wood that is 10-15 years old.

         10 .- 16 . (canceled)
