A method for detecting tissue rejection, wherein said method comprises determining whether or not tissue transplanted into a mammal contains cells that express at least two of the nucleic acids listed in Table 2 or Table 11 at elevated levels, wherein the presence of said cells indicates that said tissue is being rejected.
