Abstract
An apparatus for making and stirring a liquid mixture includes a spoon with a handle and a bowl portion, a mixture component, and a covering across the top of the bowl portion of the spoon. The covering confines the mixture component, and is formed of a material permitting the liquid to contact the component. Immersion of the bowl portion of the spoon in the liquid causes the liquid to contact the mixture component, thereby producing a mixture of the liquid and the component external to the spoon.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . An apparatus for making and stirring a liquid mixture, consisting essentially of:
a spoon having a handle portion and a bowl portion, the bowl portion having an edge defining the top of the bowl portion; a mixture component disposed within the bowl portion; a covering across the top of the bowl portion, thereby confining the mixture component, the covering formed of a material permitting the liquid to contact said component, wherein immersion of the bowl portion of the spoon in the liquid causes the liquid to contact the mixture component, thereby producing a mixture of the liquid and the component external to the spoon.
2 . An apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein the covering covers the bottom of the bowl portion.
3 . An apparatus according to claim 2 , wherein the bowl portion has a perforation formed therein.
4 . An apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein the covering is formed of a dissolvable material.
5 . An apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein the covering covers the edge of the bowl portion and is adhered to the bowl portion adjacent to the edge.
6 . An apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein an additional mixture component is disposed in the bowl portion.
7 . An apparatus according to claim 6 , wherein the covering further includes a membrane attached to the covering, thereby defining a blister for holding said additional mixture component.
8 . An apparatus according to claim 7 , wherein the covering has two membranes attached thereto, thereby forming two blisters of unequal volume for holding two additional mixture components respectively.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
