Abstract

A method for using internal container pressure to dispense fluid from the container is described. The method involves circumscribing an end of the container with a housing containing a valve. Thereafter, puncturing a region of the container en-closed by the housing such that the housing prevents pressure escaping from the container. Subsequently threading a conduit, having a first open end, a closed second end, and an intermediate region defining an aperture, through the housing so that the open end resides inside the container; and manipulating the valve so as to force the fluid through the aperture to the out-side of the collar.

1 . A method for using internal container pressure to dispense fluid from the container, the method comprising
 a) circumscribing an end of the container with a housing containing a valve;   b) puncturing a region of the container enclosed by the housing such that the housing prevents pressure escaping from the container;   c) threading a conduit, having a first open end, a closed second end, and an intermediate region defining an aperture, through the housing so that the open end resides inside the container; and   d) manipulating the valve so as to force the fluid through the aperture to the outside of the collar.   
     
     
         2 . The method of  claim 1  wherein the aperture is reversibly sealed. 
     
     
         3 . The method of  claim 1  wherein the container is located in an ambient environment and the collar hermetically seals the aperture from the ambient environment. 
     
     
         4 . The method of  claim 1  wherein the aperture is in proximity to the second sealed end. 
     
     
         5 . The method of  claim 2  wherein the aperture is sealed prior to inserting the tube in the housing and unsealed once the tube is inserted into the housing. 
     
     
         6 . The method of  claim 1  wherein the housing hermetically isolates the cap of the pressurized container from an ambient environment. 
     
     
         7 . The method of  claim 6  wherein the installation of the valve assembly and the housing occurs without exposure of the container contents to an ambient atmosphere. 
     
     
         8 . The method of  claim 1  wherein the installation of the valve assembly is performed while the container is maintained at an upright position. 
     
     
         9 . The method of  claim 1  wherein the valve assembly further comprises springs to close the valve. 
     
     
         10 . The method of  claim 1  wherein the dispensing of the contents of the container occurs only through the release of pressure originally imparted to the container during initial charging of the container with the fluid.
