Portable ice fishing or hunting shanty

Abstract

A portable ice fishing or hunting shanty is provided that has a stored mode and a deployed mode. The portable ice fishing or hunting shanty has a frame that has a mounting bar that can be inserted into a hitch receiver such as a “4 Wheeler” all terrain vehicle. When the portable ice fishing or hunting shanty is in a stored mode several panels are folded together and all of the shanty components are combined together in a self contained compact unit. When the portable ice fishing or hunting shanty is in a deployed mode the shanty has a seat for a fisherman, floor panels, and at shell enclosure. A floor panel has a hinged panel that opens to allow holes to be drilled in ice for ice fishing. The shanty can be quickly be transformed from the stored mode into the deployed mode. The shanty can be also be quickly be transformed from the deployed mode into the stored mode.

1 . A portable ice fishing or hunting shanty comprising:
 a shanty main frame; said shanty main frame having a mounting bar thereon; said mounting bar having means for mating with a hitch receiver on a motorized vehicle;   a seating panel; said seating panel being coupled to said main frame;   an under seat panel; said under seat panel being coupled to said main frame;   a floor panel; said floor panel being coupled to said under seat panel;   said portable shanty having a shanty shell;   said portable shanty having a deployed mode and a stored mode;   when said portable shanty is in said deployed mode, said first floor panel is positioned on a surface; and said second floor panel is positioned on said surface;   when said portable shanty is in said deployed mode, said shanty shell forms a shanty enclosure; said shanty enclosure having a shanty inner surface and a shanty outer surface; said shanty enclosure having shanty side walls and a shanty top wall;   a door being located on a shanty side wall;   when said portable shanty is in said stored mode; a floor panel is positioned above said seating panel;   when said portable shanty is in said stored mode, said shanty shell does not form a shanty enclosure.   
     
     
         2 . The portable ice fishing or hunting shanty of  claim 1  including means for keeping said portable shanty in stored mode. 
     
     
         3 . The portable ice fishing or hunting shanty of  claim 1  wherein a floor panel is coupled to said shanty main frame when said portable shanty in stored mode. 
     
     
         4 . The portable ice fishing or hunting shanty of  claim 1  including means for keeping said shanty in said deployed mode. 
     
     
         5 . The portable ice fishing or hunting shanty of  claim 1  including a rib that is coupled to said shanty; said rib having means for keeping said shanty shell in said deployed mode. 
     
     
         6 . The portable ice fishing or hunting shanty of  claim 1  including more than one rib being coupled to said shanty; said ribs having means for keeping said shanty shell in said deployed mode. 
     
     
         7 . The portable ice fishing or hunting shanty of  claim 1  wherein a floor panel has an opening therethrough. 
     
     
         8 . The portable ice fishing or hunting shanty of  claim 1  wherein a floor panel has an opening therethrough; and including a panel that has an open position and a closed position; when said panel is in said closed position, said panel covers said opening in said floor panel. 
     
     
         9 . The portable ice fishing or hunting shanty of  claim 1  wherein a floor panel has an opening therethrough; and including a hinged panel that has an open position and a closed position; when said hinged panel is in said closed position, said panel covers said opening in said floor panel. 
     
     
         10 . The portable ice fishing or hunting to shanty of  claim 1  including an additional floor panel. 
     
     
         11 . The portable ice fishing or hunting shanty of  claim 1  including means for fastening said shanty shell to said shanty main frame. 
     
     
         12 . The portable ice fishing or hunting shanty of  claim 1  wherein said mounting bar has square cross sectional shape that will fit into a one and one fourth inch hitch receiver on a motorized vehicle; or, said mounting bar has square cross sectional shape that will fit into a two inch hitch receiver on a motorized vehicle. 
     
     
         13 . The portable ice fishing or hunting shanty of  claim 1  wherein said door has a window thereon. 
     
     
         14 . The portable ice fishing or hunting shanty of  claim 1  wherein said shell is made of a waterproof material, or a canvas material, or a plastic material, or a nylon material, or a camouflage material. 
     
     
         15 . The portable ice fishing or hunting shanty of  claim 1  including a window located on a shanty side wall. 
     
     
         16 . The portable ice fishing or hunting shanty of  claim 1  including a window located on a shanty side wall; said window having an open position and an closed position. 
     
     
         17 . The portable ice fishing or hunting shanty of  claim 1  wherein components of said shanty are made of aluminum, or fiberglass, or carbon fiber, or wood, or plywood, or steel, or metal, or stainless steel, or different types of plastic. 
     
     
         18 . A portable ice fishing or hunting shanty comprising:
 a shanty main frame; said shanty main frame having a mounting bar thereon; said mounting bar having means for mating with a hitch receiver on a motorized vehicle;   a seating panel; said seating panel being coupled to said main frame;   an under seat panel; said under seat panel being coupled to said main frame;   a floor panel; said floor panel being coupled to said under seat panel;   said portable shanty having a shanty shell;   said portable shanty having a deployed mode and a stored mode;   when said portable shanty is in said deployed mode, said floor panel is positioned on a surface;   when said portable shanty is in said deployed mode, said shanty shell forms a shanty enclosure; said shanty enclosure having a shanty inner surface and a shanty outer surface; said shanty enclosure having shanty side walls and a shanty top wall;   a door being located on a shanty side wall;   when said portable shanty is in said stored mode; a floor panel is positioned above said seating panel;   when said portable shanty is in said stored mode, said shanty shell does not form a shanty enclosure;   said portable shanty having means for keeping said portable shanty in deployed mode; and,   said portable shanty having means for keeping said portable shanty in stored mode.   
     
     
         19 . The portable ice fishing or hunting shanty of  claim 18  wherein a floor panel has an opening therethrough. 
     
     
         20 . A portable ice fishing or hunting shanty comprising:
 a shanty main frame; said shanty main frame having a mounting bar thereon; said mounting bar having means for mating with a hitch receiver on a motorized vehicle;   a seating panel; said seating panel being coupled to said main frame;   an under seat panel; said under seat panel being coupled to said main frame;   a floor panel; said floor panel being coupled to said under seat panel;   a floor panel has an opening therethrough;   a panel that has an open position and a closed position; when said panel is in said closed position, said panel covers said opening in said floor panel.   said portable shanty having a shanty shell;   said portable shanty having a deployed mode and a stored mode;   when said portable shanty is in said deployed mode, said floor panel is positioned on a surface;   when said portable shanty is in said deployed mode, said shanty shell forms a shanty enclosure; said shanty enclosure having a shanty inner surface and a shanty outer surface; said shanty enclosure having shanty side walls and a shanty top wall;   a door being located on a shanty side wall;   when said portable shanty is in said stored mode; a floor panel is positioned above said seating panel;   when said portable shanty is in said stored mode, said shanty shell does not form a shanty enclosure;   said portable shanty having means for keeping said portable shanty in deployed mode; and,   said portable shanty having means for keeping said portable shanty in stored mode.
