Sleeping Bag Bed Covering

Abstract

Disclosed is a novelty bed covering that provides a sleeping bag environment attachable to a standard bed, comprising an upper and lower sleeping bag shell, zip fastener closure between shells and an attached bed securement sheet. A first and second strip of zip fasteners provides removable securement of the top shell to the lower shell, wherein the lower shell is securely attached to the bed. Two strips of zip fasteners allow egress and ingress from either side of the bag, while back to back zipper clasps allow the bottom of the bag to be opened if desired. A fitted sheet attaches to the lower shell and fits snugly against the bed to ensure the lower shell is secured in a static position. Over the fitted sheet is provided a decorative skirt, which covers the sheet engagement with the bed and adds a decorative appeal.

1 ) A sleeping bag bed covering, comprising:
 a top shell and a bottom shell, said shells having a periphery edge defined by a first and second end, a first and second side, and a shared line of connection along said second end and said sides;   said shells adapted to create a partially enclosed sleeping bag environment with an open first end;   said shells being removably connected along said line of connection;   fitted sheet band connected to said bottom shell below said line of connection, said fitted sheet adapted to securely connect over a mattress sidewalls;   a bed skirt connected to said bottom shell between said fitted sheet connection and said line of connection, said bed skirt adapted to hang over said fitted sheet;   said removable line of connection being a zip fastener having at least two zip fastener clasps to allow access to or exit from said enclosed sleeping bag environment from said first or second side.   
     
     
         2 ) The device of  claim 1 , wherein said zip fastener line of connection comprises two open-ended zip fasteners such that four zip fastener clasps allow both sides of said sleeping bag to be closed utilizing a first and second zip fastener clasp, while also allowing a third and fourth zip fastener clasp to control an opening along said line of connection. 
     
     
         3 ) The device of  claim 1 , wherein said fitted sheet band is removably connected to said bottom shell. 
     
     
         4 ) The device of  claim 1 , wherein said bed skirt is removably connected to said bottom shell. 
     
     
         5 ) The device of  claim 1 , wherein said top and bottom shell further comprise an enclosed fill material enclosed with a first and second outer material layers.
