Abstract
An implant delivery system comprises an implant delivery device having a releasable implant retention region, with the releasable implant retention region having a delivery device coating including a therapeutic agent. The implant delivery device may be a balloon catheter. An implant is releasably positioned in physical communication with the releasable implant retention region. The implant may comprise an implant coating on its inner and/or outer surface, and the implant coating may include a therapeutic agent. The implant may be a stent.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 .- 23 . (canceled)
. An implant delivery system comprising:
an implant delivery device having a distal end with a releasable implant retention region, the releasable implant retention region having an outer surface comprising a delivery device coating, said delivery device coating including a therapeutic agent; and a releasable implant releasably positioned in physical communication with the releasable implant retention region.
. The implant delivery system of claim 24 wherein the implant comprises an implant coating.
. The implant delivery system of claim 25 wherein the implant coating is positioned on an inner surface of the implant.
. The implant delivery system of claim 26 wherein the implant coating includes a therapeutic agent.
. The implant delivery system of claim 27 wherein the therapeutic agent comprises a vascular cell growth promoter.
. The implant delivery system of claim 25 wherein the implant coating is positioned on an outer surface of the implant.
. The implant delivery system of claim 29 wherein the implant coating includes a therapeutic agent.
. The implant delivery system of claim 30 wherein the therapeutic agent comprises an antiproliferative agent.
. The implant delivery system of claim 25 wherein the implant coating is positioned on an inner surface and an outer surface of the implant.
. The implant delivery system of claim 32 wherein the implant coating includes a therapeutic agent.
. The implant delivery system of claim 24 wherein the implant delivery device is a balloon catheter.
. The implant delivery system of claim 24 wherein the delivery device coating comprises an implant adhesion-resistant treatment.
. The implant delivery system of claim 35 wherein the implant adhesion-resistant treatment includes a non-adhesive silicone coating.
. The implant delivery system of claim 35 wherein the implant adhesion-resistant treatment includes a non-adhesive hydrophilic coating.
. The implant delivery system of claim 35 wherein the implant adhesion-resistant treatment includes a non-adhesive hydrogel coating.
. The implant delivery system of claim 35 wherein the implant adhesion-resistant treatment includes a non-adhesive carbowax coating.
. The implant delivery system of claim 35 wherein the implant adhesion-resistant treatment includes a non-adhesive PEO coating.
. The implant delivery system of claim 24 wherein the implant is a balloon-expandable stent.
. The implant delivery system of claim 24 wherein the implant is a self-expanding stent.
. The implant delivery system of claim 24 wherein said releasable implant retention region extends along an entire length of the implant.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
