Abstract

A method for manufacturing cold-gorged wing bolts uses short basic rods cut from a solid linear metal material Under the conditions of maintaining the combination capacity of metal material organization to possess close-fitting strength, the short basic rods are cold-forged and compressed into shape through several steps of shaping and trimming and then treated with thread rolling to finish wing bolts. By so designing, the wing bolts can be manufactured simply and quickly, able to lower cost, obtain better quality and production capacity and thus greatly elevate economic gain.

1 . A method for manufacturing cold-forged wing bolts using short basic rods formed by cutting a solid linear metal material, said method comprising:
 a first step of roughly shaping: said short basic rod is placed in a roughly-shaping mold set, slightly and gradually cold-forged and compressed therein so that said short basic rod may become a roughly-shaped unfinished wing bolt that has an upper section molded into a circular base and a lower section formed with a circular member, said circular base having opposite sides respectively extended to form a plate wing with a pointed tip;   a second step of shaping: said roughly-shaped unfinished wing bolt finishing the first step is turned for 90 degrees and horizontally placed in a shaping mold set, said two plate wings of said roughly-shaped unfinished wing bolt are slightly and gradually cold-forged and compressed in said shaping mold set, expanded and molded into two thin butterfly-shaped wings with a round tip; and   a third step of trimming: said roughly-shaped unfinished wing bolt finishing the second step is turned upside down for 180 degrees and horizontally deposited in a trimming mold set, and said circular base of said roughly-shaped unfinished wing bolt is slightly and gradually cold-forged and compressed therein so that said circular base of said roughly-shaped unfinished wing bolt may become a conical base and said two thin butterfly-shaped wings are trimmed very smooth.   
     
     
         2 . The method for manufacturing cold-forged wing bolts as claimed in  claim 1 , wherein said circular member of said half-finished wing bolt is then treated with thread roiling for cutting threads, finishing said half-finished wing bolt into a whole wing bolt.
