Abstract

A two-piece reusable shell for use with launching systems. The launcher shell has a top tube portion that screws onto a base portion, which houses an ignition source and a propellant. The reusable shell allows for efficient access to all portions of the shell and for easy interchangeability between tubes of differing lengths and one standard base unit.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . A reloadable shell for a launching system comprising:
 a. A detachable threaded base having an opening centrally located on the bottom face of the bottom flange with a diameter matching that of an insertable ignition source and a concave depression centrally positioned along the top face; b. A detachable tube with threading along inside of lower portion with an outer diameter matching that of the threaded base.

2 . The reloadable shell as disclosed in claim 1 , with proportions such that the shell is usable with a 37 mm launching system.

3 . The reloadable shell as disclosed in claim 1 , with proportions such that the shell is usable with a 40 mm launching system.

4 . The reloadable shell as disclosed in claim 1 , with proportions such that the shell is usable with a 26.5 mm launching system.

5 . The reloadable shell as disclosed in claim 1 , such that the ignition source opening diameter is adapted for a 209 shotgun primer.

6 . The reloadable shell as disclosed in claim 1 , such that the ignition source opening diameter is adapted for a blank cartridge ignition source.

7 . The reloadable shell as disclosed in claim 1 , such that the base is interchangeable with tubes of varying heights.
