Method for performing synchronisation for multicast broadcast services in a wireless access communication network, corresponding multicast broadcast server and base station
Abstract
The present invention relates to a method for performing data synchronization in a wireless access communication network. The method includes data to be synchronized coming from an access network gateway and being sent to at least two base stations, and the data being further sent from the base stations to user terminals over an air interface in downlink frames. The method also includes sending a signaling message to the at least two base stations with the signaling message having a set of parameters defining unambiguously the position and size of the data in the downlink frame and the structure of the data.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A method for a server to control synchronization of data to be sent from at least two base stations to a user terminal in a wireless access communication network, the method comprising the steps of:
sending a signaling message to said at least two base stations, said signaling message including a set of parameters defining unambiguously position and size of data in a downlink frame sent between each base station and the user terminal; and sending data to be encapsulated in a downlink frame at the position and size prescribed in said signaling message to each base station.
2 . The method according to claim 1 , wherein the set of parameters further defines structure of the data to be used by each base station for encapsulating the data in the downlink frame.
3 . A method for a base station to send data to a user terminal in a wireless access communication network, the method comprising the steps of:
receiving a signaling message including a set of parameters defining unambiguously position and size of data in a downlink frame sent between said base station and the user terminal; encapsulating data received by said base station in a downlink frame at the position and size prescribed in said signaling message; and forwarding said downlink frame with said encapsulated data towards the user terminal.
4 . The method according to claim 3 , wherein the signaling message further defines structure of the data, and the data received by said base station is encapsulated in the downlink frame using the structure prescribed in the signaling message.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
