Elbow Stabilizer for Hunting

Abstract

A device for stabilizing the elbow of a person while participating in certain activities for example hunting or photography includes a first member for attaching the device to an arm rest of a conventional chair. A second member is adjustably supported above the first member for supporting the elbow of the user to assist in stabilizing the aim of the user.

1 . An elbow stabilizer device for attachment to an arm rest of a chair comprising:
 a first lower support member attachable to an arm rest of a hunting chair,   a rod extending upwardly from the lower support member; and   a second upper support member secured to the rod for supporting the elbow of a person sitting in the chair.   
     
     
         2 . An elbow stabilizer device according to  claim 1  and further including means for adjustably securing the upper support member to the rod. 
     
     
         3 . An elbow stabilizer device according to  claim 2  wherein the means for adjustably securing the uppers support member to the rod includes threads on the upper portion of the rod and an internally threaded socket secured to the upper support member. 
     
     
         4 . The elbow stabilizing device of  claim 1  further including a pair of straps for securing the device to an arm rest of the chair. 
     
     
         5 . The elbow stabilizing device of claim I further including hook lock and loop securing members on the straps. 
     
     
         6 . The elbow stabilizing device of claim I wherein the upper and lower support member are rectangular plates.
