Abstract

A display device and method for displaying objects at a front or rear face of a screen display or frame of a computer or video monitor or laptop or other framed structure may have flexible, lengthwise deformable band(s) with corner-engaging loops. In another embodiment, one or more flexible bands are joined at each end to the screen display frame of a computer or video monitor or laptop, leaving a central portion of each flexible band movably deformable with relation to the front surface or rear surface of the frame. In yet another embodiment, deformable resilient material is embedded within a slot behind the front surface of the screen display frame.

4 . The device of claim 1 , wherein the resilient deformable material has a first surface and a rear surface and has a series of upstanding projections extending outwardly from its first surface.

5 . The device of claim 4 , wherein the upstanding projections are directed toward the outer frame.

6 . The device of claim 4 , wherein the upstanding projections are directed away from the outer frame.

7 . The device of claim 4 , wherein the upstanding projections are prongs with generally circular cross-section.

8 . The device of claim 1 , wherein the resilient deformable material is a material selected from the group consisting of rubber, latex, plastosil, thermoplastic elastomer, polyvinyl chloride softened with plasticizer, urethane or polyurethane softened with plasticizer.

9 . The device of claim 1 , wherein the slot forms a receiving channel and the resilient deformable material comprises a series of ball bearings received within said receiving channel.

10 . The device of claim 1 , wherein the slot forms a receiving channel and the resilient deformable material comprises at least one flap defining a slit therein or multiple flaps defining a slit opening therebetween.

11 . A method for removably attaching at least one object in association with a display screen or frame, comprising:
inserting a first object into a channel or slot formed between an outer frame generally surrounding a viewing screen and a screen housing to engage a resilient deformable material interposed within the channel or slot.

12 . The method of claim 11 , wherein the resilient deformable material has a first surface and a rear surface and has a series of upstanding projections extending outwardly from its first surface.

13 . The method of claim 11 , wherein the resilient deformable material is a material selected from the group consisting of rubber, latex, plastosil, thermoplastic elastomer, polyvinyl chloride softened with plasticizer, urethane or polyurethane softened with plasticizer.

14 . A device for removably mounting objects to a front face of a display screen or frame, comprising:
a first lengthwise deformable band having a distal end and a proximal end and defining a first length between said distal end and proximal end, said first lengthwise deformable band further defining a top surface and a bottom surface; a first plurality of ridges extending from the top surface at or near the proximal end; a second plurality of ridges extending from the top surface at or near the distal end; a first slot or hole in the front face of the display screen or frame to receive the proximal end of the first lengthwise deformable band; and a second slot or hole in the front face of the display screen or frame to receive the distal end of the first lengthwise deformable band.

15 . The device of claim 14 , further comprising:
a second lengthwise deformable band having a distal end and a proximal end and defining a second length between said distal end and proximal end, said second lengthwise deformable band further defining a top surface and a bottom surface; a third plurality of ridges extending from the top surface of the second lengthwise deformable band at or near the proximal end of said second lengthwise deformable band; a fourth plurality of ridges extending from the top surface of the second lengthwise deformable band at or near the distal end of said second lengthwise deformable band; a third slot or hole in the front face of the display screen or frame to receive the proximal end of the second lengthwise deformable band; and a fourth slot or hole in the front face of the display screen or frame to receive the distal end of the second lengthwise deformable band.

16 . The device of claim 14 , further comprising a wall projecting from a rear face of the display screen or frame defining a channel to receive the proximal end of the first lengthwise deformable band and the distal end of the first lengthwise deformable band.

         17 .
