Tablecloth Covering And Method of Covering And Skirting A Table

Abstract

A fitted tablecloth covering that may be affixed to a table without the use of tools or affixing devices is provided. Such a tablecloth covering may conveniently and quickly be affixed to a table and provide an appealing visual presentation that does not require the use of installation tools and that does not damage the table.

1 . A system for covering a plurality of tables, at least a first of the plurality of tables having dimensions different than dimensions of at least a second of the plurality of tables, said system comprising:
 a first table cover comprising a top surface and a plurality of sides, wherein the top surface and the plurality of sides of said first table cover have first dimensions;   a second table cover comprising a top surface and a plurality of sides, wherein the top surface and the plurality of sides of said second table cover have second dimensions;   wherein the first dimensions are different than the second dimensions; and   a single container in which both said first table cover and said second table cover are disposed.   
     
     
         2 . The system of  claim 1  further comprising:
 a first indicator provided on said first table cover, wherein said first indicator is indicative of the first dimensions; and 
 a second indicator provided on said second table cover, wherein said second indicator is indicative of the second dimensions. 
 
     
     
         3 . The system of  claim 2  wherein said first indicator and said second indicator comprise stickers. 
     
     
         4 . The system of  claim 1 :
 wherein the top surface of said first table cover has a generally rectangular configuration with a length and a width and four edges; and   wherein the plurality of sides of said first table cover comprises four sides, each extending downwardly from a respective one of the edges of the top surface, each of the four sides having end edges.   
     
     
         5 . The system of  claim 4 :
 wherein the top surface of said second table cover has a generally rectangular configuration with a length and a width and four edges; and   wherein the plurality of sides of said second table cover comprises four sides, each extending downwardly from a respective one of the edges of the top surface, each of the four sides having end edges.   
     
     
         6 . The system of  claim 5  wherein the length of the top surface of the first table cover is different than the length of the top surface of the second table cover. 
     
     
         7 . The system of  claim 6  wherein the width of the top surface of the first table cover is substantially the same as the width of the top surface of the second table cover. 
     
     
         8 . The system of  claim 5 :
 wherein adjacent end edges of each of two respective sides of the first table cover abut one another and are permanently attached to one another to define four corners; and   wherein adjacent end edges of each of two respective sides of the second table cover abut one another and are permanently attached to one another to define four corners.   
     
     
         9 . The system of  claim 8 , wherein the adjacent end edges of the first table cover are heat sealed together and the adjacent end edges of the second table cover are heat sealed together. 
     
     
         10 . The system of  claim 8 , wherein the adjacent end edges of the first table cover are sewn together and the adjacent end edges of the second table cover are sewn together. 
     
     
         11 . The system of  claim 1  wherein the top surface and the plurality of sides of said first table cover are formed from a polymeric film and wherein the top surface and the plurality of sides of said second table cover are formed from a polymeric film. 
     
     
         12 . The system of  claim 11 , wherein the polymeric film is flame retardant PVC film. 
     
     
         13 . A system for covering a plurality of tables, at least a first of the plurality of tables having dimensions different than dimensions of at least a second of the plurality of tables, said system comprising:
 a first table cover comprising:
 a top surface of having a generally rectangular configuration with a length and a width and four edges; and 
 four sides, each extending downwardly from a respective one of the edges of the top surface, each of the four sides having end edges; 
   a second table cover comprising:
 a top surface of having a generally rectangular configuration with a length and a width and four edges; and 
 four sides, each extending downwardly from a respective one of the edges of the top surface, each of the four sides having end edges; 
   wherein the length of the top surface of the first table cover is different than the length of the top surface of the second table cover;   wherein the width of the top surface of the first table cover is substantially the same as the width of the top surface of the second table cover;   a first indicator provided on said first table cover, wherein said first indicator is indicative of the length of the top surface of the first table cover; and   a second indicator provided on said second table cover, wherein said second indicator is indicative of the length of the top surface of the second table cover.   
     
     
         14 . The system of  claim 13  wherein said first indicator and said second indicator comprise stickers. 
     
     
         15 . The system of  claim 13  further comprising a single container in which both said first table cover and said second table cover are disposed. 
     
     
         16 . The system of  claim 13 :
 wherein adjacent end edges of each of two respective sides of the first table cover abut one another and are permanently attached to one another to define four corners; and   wherein adjacent end edges of each of two respective sides of the second table cover abut one another and are permanently attached to one another to define four corners.   
     
     
         17 . The system of  claim 16 , wherein the adjacent end edges of the first table cover are heat sealed together and the adjacent end edges of the second table cover are heat sealed together. 
     
     
         18 . The system of  claim 16 , wherein the adjacent end edges of the first table cover are sewn together and the adjacent end edges of the second table cover are sewn together. 
     
     
         19 . The system of  claim 13  wherein the top surface and the sides of said first table cover are formed from a polymeric film and wherein the top surface and the sides of said second table cover are formed from a polymeric film. 
     
     
         20 . The system of  claim 19 , wherein the polymeric film is flame retardant PVC film. 
     
     
         21 . A method for facilitating the covering of a plurality of tables, at least a first of the plurality of tables having dimensions different than dimensions of at least a second of the plurality of tables, said method comprising the steps of:
 providing a first table cover comprising a top surface and a plurality of sides, wherein the top surface and the plurality of sides of said first table cover have first dimensions;   providing a second table cover comprising a top surface and a plurality of sides, wherein the top surface and the plurality of sides of said second table cover have second dimensions;   wherein the first dimensions are different than the second dimensions; and   packaging both said first table cover and said second table cover in a single container.   
     
     
         22 . The method of  claim 21  further comprising the steps of:
 providing a first indicator on said first table cover, wherein said first indicator is indicative of the first dimensions; and 
 providing a second indicator on said second table cover, wherein said second indicator is indicative of the second dimensions. 
 
     
     
         23 . The method of  claim 22  wherein said first indicator and said second indicator comprise stickers. 
     
     
         24 . The method of  claim 21 :
 wherein the top surface of said first table cover has a generally rectangular configuration with a length and a width and four edges; and   wherein the plurality of sides of said first table cover comprises four sides, each extending downwardly from a respective one of the edges of the top surface, each of the four sides having end edges.   
     
     
         25 . The method of  claim 24 :
 wherein the top surface of said second table cover has a generally rectangular configuration with a length and a width and four edges; and   wherein the plurality of sides of said second table cover comprises four sides, each extending downwardly from a respective one of the edges of the top surface, each of the four sides having end edges.   
     
     
         26 . The method of  claim 25  wherein the length of the top surface of the first table cover is different than the length of the top surface of the second table cover. 
     
     
         27 . The method of  claim 26  wherein the width of the top surface of the first table cover is substantially the same as the width of the top surface of the second table cover. 
     
     
         28 . The method of  claim 25 :
 wherein adjacent end edges of each of two respective sides of the first table cover abut one another and are permanently attached to one another to define four corners; and   wherein adjacent end edges of each of two respective sides of the second table cover abut one another and are permanently attached to one another to define four corners.   
     
     
         29 . The method of  claim 28 , wherein the adjacent end edges of the first table cover are heat sealed together and the adjacent end edges of the second table cover are heat sealed together. 
     
     
         30 . The method of  claim 28 , wherein the adjacent end edges of the first table cover are sewn together and the adjacent end edges of the second table cover are sewn together. 
     
     
         31 . The method of  claim 21  wherein the top surface and the plurality of sides of said first table cover are formed from a polymeric film and wherein the top surface and the plurality of sides of said second table cover are formed from a polymeric film. 
     
     
         32 . The method of  claim 31 , wherein the polymeric film is flame retardant PVC film.
