Abstract

Conjugates of Factor VII (FVII) and Factor VIIa (FVIIA) are provided, as are methods for preparing them. Methods for producing novel polypeptides contributing to the production of such conjugates are provided. Methods of treatment by administering a FVII or FVIIa conjugate are provided.

A nucleotide sequence encoding a polypeptide having an amino acid sequence which differs from that of wild-type FVII or FVIIa shown in SEQ ID NO:1 in that at least one amino acid residue comprising an attachment group for a non-polypeptide moiety has been introduced or removed. 
     
     
         69 . An expression vector harbouring the nucleotide sequence of  claim 68 . 
     
     
         70 . A host cell comprising a nucleotide sequence of  claim 68  or an expression vector according to  claim 69 . 
     
     
         71 . The host cell according to  claim 70 , wherein the host cell is a gammacarboxylating cell capable of in vivo glycosylation.
