Paint Brush Genie

Abstract

The Paint Brush Genie provides a clean alternative to wrapping soiled paint brushes in paper until there is time to clean them. It is a simple device designed to keep soiled paint brushes hanging from a rod with their bristles suspended in liquid until the brushes can be thoroughly cleaned. Both, brushes and cleaning liquids, are securely contained in a lidded bucket. The user simply places the Paint Brush Genie in a bucket, threads the soiled brushes onto the rod and adds enough liquid cleaning solution of choice to cover the brush bristles.

1 . A device that fits into a standard five gallon bucket, and is used to suspend paint brushes in a liquid solution to prevent hardening of the paint on the brush bristles.
 Suspending the brush in liquid will assist in easier clean-up of the brush and extend the useful life of the paint brush considerably.   Said device can be constructed out of rust-resistant metal or plastic or any other material that will not deteriorate when submerged in liquid. The device may be manufactured in different sizes to fit differently sized containers.   The device consists of a round support footing resting on the bottom of the container close enough to the side of the container to prevent tipping over. Side supports extend upward to support the horizontal rod from which the brushes are suspended. The horizontal rod slides out to allow for brushes to be threaded onto the rod, thus suspending the bristles in liquid.
