Abstract

A nutritional supplement for inhibiting sensorineural hearing loss includes from about 0.25 to about 6.0 wt. % thiamin, from about 0.1 to about 10 wt. % pyridoxiyl-5-phosphate, from about 0.01 to about 10 wt. % folic acid, from about 0.025 to about 4.0 wt. % hydroxycobalamin, from about 1 to about 7 wt. % magnesium, from about 0.25 to about 6.0 wt. % zinc, from about 0.001 to about 0.02 wt. % selenium, from about 0.1 to about 10 wt. % manganese, from about 5 to about 50 wt. % ginger root P.E. 4:1., from about 5 to about 40 wt. % citrus bioflavonoids, from about 2.5 to about 40 wt. % 1-cystine, from about 5 to about 40 wt. % n-acetlyl-1-carnitine, from about 1 to about 40 wt. % alpha lipoic acid, from about 1 to about 40 wt. % coenzyme Q10, from about 1 to about 40 wt. % green tea extract, and from about 1 to about 60 wt. % resveratrol.

         21 . A nutritional supplement comprising:
 a combination of resveratrol, EGCG, acetlyl-1-carnitine, alpha lipoic acid, coenzyme Q10, hesperidin in the form of citrus bioflavonoids, and pyridoxyl-5-phosphate in nutritionally effective amounts and wherein the supplement aids in the treatment of sensorineural hearing loss.   
     
     
         22 . The supplement of  claim 21  further comprising:
 from about 1-60 wt. % resveratrol, 1-40 wt wt. % green tea extract, from about 5-40 wt. % acetlyl-1-carnitine, from about 1% -40 wt. % alpha lipoic acid, from about 1-40 wt. % coenzyme Q10, from about 5-40 wt. % citrus bioflavonoids and from about 0.1-10 wt. % pyridoxyl-5-phosphate. 
 
     
     
         23 . The nutritional supplement of  claim 21  wherein the hesperidin is provided in the form of citrus bioflavonoids comprising about 20 wt. % hesperidin. 
     
     
         24 . The nutritional supplement of  claim 21  wherein the EGCG is provided in the form of green tea extract comprising 90 wt. % catechins and wherein the catechins comprise about 50 wt. % EGCG. 
     
     
         25 . The nutritional supplement of  claim 21  further comprising from about 5-50 wt. % ginger root P.E 4:1. 
     
     
         26 . The nutritional supplement of  claim 21  further comprising from about 0.1-10 wt. % folic acid. 
     
     
         27 . The nutritional supplement of  claim 21  further comprising from about 2.5 to about 40 wt. % 1-cysteine. 
     
     
         28 . The nutritional supplement of  claim 21  further comprising from about 1 to about 7 wt. % magnesium oxide and from about 0.25 to about 6.0 wt. % zinc citrate. 
     
     
         29 . The nutritional supplement of  claim 21  further comprising from about 0.001 to about 0.02 wt. % selenium amino acid chelate and from about 0.01 to about 10 wt. % manganese amino acid chelate. 
     
     
         30 . The nutritional supplement of  claim 21  wherein the compound further comprises Folic Acid, and wherein the resveratrol comprises from about 1% to 60% of the total weight of the supplement, the alpha lipoic acid comprises between 1% and 40% of the total weight of the supplement, the Coenzyme Q10 comprises between 1% and 40% of the total weight of the supplement, and the Folic Acid comprises between 1% and 10% of the total weight of the supplement. 
     
     
         31 . A nutritional supplement comprising;
 a combination of thiamin, pyridoxyl-5-phosphate, folic acid, hydroxycobalamin, ginger root RE 4:1, hesperidin, 1-cysteine, n-acetlyl-1-carnitine, alpha lipoic acid, coenzyme Q10, EGCG, and resveratrol in nutritionally effective amounts and wherein the supplement aids in the treatment of sensorineural hearing loss.   
     
     
         32 . The nutritional supplement of  claim 31  wherein the hesperidin is provided in the form of citrus bioflavonoids. 
     
     
         33 . The nutritional supplement of  claim 32  wherein the citrus bioflavonoids comprise about 20 wt. % hesperidin. 
     
     
         34 . The nutritional supplement of  claim 31  wherein the EGCG is provided in the form of green tea extract. 
     
     
         35 . The nutritional supplement of  claim 34  wherein the green tea extract comprises about 90 wt. % catechins and wherein the catechins comprise about 50 wt. % EGCG. 
     
     
         36 . The nutritional supplement of  claim 31  further comprising: from about 0.25 to about 6.0 wt. % thiamin, from about 0.1 to about 10 wt. % pyridoxiyl-5-phosphate, from about 0.01 to about 10 wt. % folic acid, from about 0.025 to about 4.0 wt. % hydroxycobalamin, from about 5 to about 40 wt. % citrus bioflavonoids, from about 2.5 to about 40 wt. % 1-cystine, from about 5 to about 40 wt. % n-acetlyl-1-carnitine, from about 1 to about 40 wt. % alpha lipoic acid, from about 1 to about 40 wt. % coenzyme Q10, from about 1 to about 40 wt. % green tea extract, and from about 1 to about 60 wt. % resveratrol. 
     
     
         37 . The nutritional supplement of  claim 31  further comprising: magnesium, zinc, selenium and manganese. 
     
     
         38 . The nutritional supplement of  claim 35  further comprising from about 1 to about 7 wt. % magnesium, from about 0.25 to about 6.0 wt. % zinc, from about 0.001 to about 0.02 wt. % selenium and from about 0.1 to about 10 wt. % manganese. 
     
     
         39 . The nutritional supplement of  claim 31  further comprising from about 5 to about 50 wt. % ginger root P.E. 4:1. 
     
     
         40 . A nutritional supplement consisting essentially of:
 from about 0.25 to about 6.0 wt. % thiamin, from about 0.1 to about 10 wt. % pyridoxyl-5-phosphate, from about 0.01 to about 10 wt. % folic acid, from about 0.025 to about 4.0 wt. % hydroxycobalamin, from about 1 to about 7 wt. % magnesium, from about 0.25 to about 6.0 wt. % zinc, from about 0.001 to about 0.02 wt. % selenium, from about 0.1 to about 10 wt. % manganese, from about 5 to about 50 wt. % ginger root P.E. 4:1., from about 5 to about 40 wt. % citrus bioflavonoids, from about 2.5 to about 40 wt. % 1-cystine, from about 5 to about 40 wt. % n-acetlyl-1-carnitine, from about 1 to about 40 wt. % alpha lipoic acid, from about 1 to about 40 wt. % coenzyme Q10, from about 1 to about 40 wt. % green tea extract, and from about 1 to about 60 wt. % resveratrol and wherein the supplement aids in the treatment of sensorineural hearing loss.
