Abstract
A handle for a barbeque grill lid has a first end and an opposing second end which are connected to the lid. The handle has an intermediate portion between the ends which is spaced away from the lid. The intermediate portion has a slot formed in the exterior surface thereof at the side facing away from the lid. The slot reduces the cross-sectional area of the handle, reducing heat transfer from the lid through the handle while at the same time increasing the external surface area of the handle, increasing air cooling of the handle.
