Abstract

A scarf ( 10 ) is disclosed comprising an elongate section ( 11 ) and a hood/headband ( 12 ) secured to the elongate section intermediate opposite ends thereof. The scarf further comprises at least two pocket ( 13 ) regions formed within the elongate section.

1 . A scarf comprising, an elongate section and a head section secured to the elongate section intermediate opposite ends thereof, said scarf further comprising at least two pocket regions. 
     
     
         2 . A scarf according to  claim 1 , wherein one of said at least two pocket regions is formed at one end of said elongate section and the other of said at least two pocket regions is formed at the other end of said elongate section. 
     
     
         3 . A scarf according to  claim 1 , wherein each of said at least two pocket regions includes a glove or mitten formed therein which can be exposed by turning the respective pocket regions inside-out. 
     
     
         4 . A scarf according to  claim 1 , wherein said head section includes a hood that is secured to said elongate section at a position which is closer to one of said elongate section ends than the other of said elongate section ends. 
     
     
         5 . A scarf according to  claim 1  wherein said head section includes a headband which is placed around the forehead and ears. 
     
     
         6 . A scarf according to  claim 1 , wherein said head section and said at least two pocket regions are formed integrally with said elongate section. 
     
     
         7 . A scarf according to  claim 1 , wherein said head section is detachably secured to said elongate section. 
     
     
         8 . A scarf according to  claim 1 , wherein said scarf is formed from a fabric material chosen from the group consisting of wool, cotton, silk, polyester or fleece. 
     
     
         9 . A scarf according to  claim 4  wherein said hood comprises a waterproof outer layer. 
     
     
         10 . A scarf comprising: an elongated portion having two opposite end portions, a head section secured to the elongated portion between the end portions thereof at a location offset from a center of said elongated portion so as to divide said elongated portions into two parts, one of the parts being longer than the other of said two parts, such that when worn, the longer of said two part may be wrapped around a wearer, yet said two portions extend from said wearer for substantially the same length. 
     
     
         11 . A scarf according to  claim 10 , further including pockets formed at said opposite end portions, said the pockets defining visible glove portions when turned inside out.
