Communication box
Abstract
A communication box includes a body having walls defining sides. One side of the box is open and the wall at the open side of the body has a thickness of 0.5 mm to 2.5 mm. A cover seals the open side of the body. In a communication box in which the body and the cover are coupled to each other using screws, the thickness of the walls where the screws are not present is reduced, making it possible to increase internal capacity of the communication box while maintaining the outer size. Thus, the weight of a communication part is reduced, internal space of the communication box is effectively utilized, and characteristics of the communication box are improved.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A communication box comprising:
a body having a plurality of walls and an open side, wherein the walls, at the open side, have a thickness of 0.5 mm to 2.5 mm; and a cover sealing the open side of the body.
2 . The communication box as claimed in claim 1 , further comprising a sealing portion including steps, each step having a sharp end or uneven surfaces engaged with each other and located on contact surfaces of the body and the cover.
3 . The communication box as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the cover includes a peripheral insertion groove into which part of the body is inserted to seal the box.
4 . The communication box as claimed in claim 1 , including a seal softer than the body and interposed between the body and the cover.
5 . The communication box as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the body includes screw coupling portions, each screw coupling position having a thickness thicker than the walls of the body and being coupled to the body at the screw coupling portions of the body, using screws.
6 . The communication box as claimed in claim 5 , further comprising a sealing portion including steps, each step having a sharp end or uneven surfaces engaged with each other and located on contact surfaces of the body and the cover.
7 . The communication box as claimed in claim 5 , wherein the cover includes a peripheral insertion groove into which part of the body is inserted to seal the box.
8 . The communication box as claimed in claim 5 , including a seal softer than the body and interposed between the body and the cover.
9 . The communication box as claimed in claim 5 , wherein the screw coupling portions protrude in semi-circular column shapes on inner and outer sides of the walls of the body and centers of screw holes into which the screws are inserted are situated on center lines of the walls of the body.
10 . The communication box as claimed in claim 9 , further comprising a sealing portion including steps, each step having a sharp end or uneven surfaces engaged with each other and located on contact surfaces of the body and the cover.
11 . The communication box as claimed in claim 9 , wherein the cover includes a peripheral insertion groove into which part of the body is inserted to seal the box.
12 . The communication box as claimed in claim 9 , including a seal softer than the body and interposed between the body and the cover.
13 - 16 . (canceled)
17 . The communication box as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the body and the cover are bonded to each other by a sealing layer having a melting point lower than melting points of the body and the cover.
18 . The communication box as claimed in claim 17 , wherein surfaces of the body and the cover are plated with copper.
19 . The communication box as claimed in claim 17 , wherein the sealing layer is an alloy of tin and bismuth.
20 . The communication box as claimed in claim 17 , wherein the sealing layer is formed by applying paste to one side of the body or the cover or sides of both the body and the cover so as to bond the body and the cover after the sealing layer is heated together with the body and the cover, melted, and cooled.
21 . The communication box as claimed in claim 20 , wherein surfaces of the body and the cover are plated with copper.
22 . The communication box as claimed in claim 20 , wherein the sealing layer is an alloy of tin and bismuth.
23 . The communication box as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the body and the cover are laser-welded to each other.
24 . The communication box as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the body includes a plurality of coupling bosses and the cover is positioned on the body such that the coupling bosses pass through through-holes in the cover and the coupling bosses are caulked to fix the cover to the body.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
