Accessory system

Abstract

A personal accessory system in which a user can selectively attach at least one interchangeable embellishment with at least one base accessory member via complementary fastening components, thereby allowing the user to change the appearance of the base accessory as desired and allowing the user to create multiple aesthetically pleasing looks without the need to purchase several different accessories.

1 . An accessory system, comprising:
 at least one base accessory member;   at least one embellishment member; and   at least one set of complementary fastening components,   wherein at least one complementary fastening component is coupled with said at least one base accessory member and at least one complementary fastening component is coupled with said at least one embellishment member, and   wherein said at least one embellishment member is adapted to be selectively coupled with said at least one base accessory member via the complementary fastening components.   
     
     
         2 . The system of  claim 1 , wherein the at least one base accessory member is a headband. 
     
     
         3 . The system of  claim 1 , wherein said at least one set of complementary fastening components comprises snaps. 
     
     
         4 . The system of  claim 1 , wherein said at least one set of complementary fastening components comprises at least one male member and at least one female member. 
     
     
         5 . The system of  claim 4 , wherein said at least one male member is coupled with the at least one base accessory member and said at least one female member is coupled with the at least one embellishment member. 
     
     
         6 . The system of  claim 4 , wherein said at least one female member is coupled with the at least one base accessory member and said at least one male member is coupled with the at least one embellishment member. 
     
     
         7 . The system of  claim 1 , wherein the at least one base accessory member further comprises at least one attachment section. 
     
     
         8 . The system of  claim 7 , wherein the at least one attachment section is a portion of the surface of the at least one base accessory member that surrounds the at least one complementary fastening component. 
     
     
         9 . The system of  claim 7 , wherein the at least one attachment section is a portion of the surface of the at least one base accessory member that partially surrounds the at least one complementary fastening component. 
     
     
         10 . An accessory system kit, comprising:
 at least one base accessory member formed as a headband comprising a plurality of apertures;   a first plurality of embellishment members; and   a second plurality of embellishment members,   wherein each of said embellishment members comprise a protrusion configured to be selectively coupled with said apertures.   
     
     
         11 . An accessory system, comprising:
 a base accessory member; and   at least one complementary fastening component coupled with the base accessory member,   wherein each of said at least one complementary fastening components is configured to selectively attach to another complementary fastening component coupled with an embellishment member.
