Small Game Carrier

Abstract

The small game carrier includes an elongated tube having an inner diameter at least the size of the head of small game to be carried. An elongated slot, running parallel to the longitude of the tube, is formed through the wall of the tube. The width of the slot is wide enough to accommodate the neck of small game to be carried, but is too small for the head of the taken game to pass radially through the slot. The slot has a terminus near the end of the tube to stop small game from sliding out the bottom of the small game carrier and prevent spreading of the slot near the bottom of the tube. A reinforcing ring may be used near the top of the tube to reduce spreading of the slot near the top of the tube. Means, preferably in the form of a belt clip, is provided to removably attach the small game carrier to the clothing of the user, thereby providing for hands free carriage of a number of small animals with head disposed in the tube, neck disposed in slot and body disposed extending outside of tube and projecting away from wearer's body.

1 . A small game carrier comprised of:
 an elongated tube having a top end, a bottom end, a longitude therebetween, an inner diameter, an outer diameter and a wall therebetween, wherein the inner diameter of said elongated tube is of sufficient size to accommodate the head of small game to be carried and the length of tube is sufficient to dispose a desired number of small game to be carried in vertically stacked array;   an elongated slot extending through the wall of said elongated tube, wherein said elongated slot has a width and a length, wherein the width of said slot is disposed transverse to the longitude of said elongated tube and sized so as to be large enough to accommodate the neck of small game to be carried but is too small for the head of small game being carried to pass radially through the width of said slot, and, wherein the length of said slot extends from an opening which is large enough for the head of the small game being carried to pass through which is disposed near the top of said elongated tube and extends downward therefrom a sufficient length to accommodate a desired number of small game to be carried in small game carrier with the necks of said small game disposed in a vertical array within said elongated slot; and,   a terminus disposed at the bottom of said elongated slot.   
     
     
         2 . The small game carrier of  claim 1  further comprising reinforcing ring disposed near the top of said elongated tube. 
     
     
         3 . The small game carrier of  claim 1  further comprising means to removably attach the elongated tube to an item of clothing worn by the user of the small game carrier. 
     
     
         4 . The small game carrier of  claim 2  further comprising means to removably attach the elongated tube to an item of clothing worn by the user of the small game carrier. 
     
     
         5 . The small game carrier of  claim 1  wherein said terminus is an integral part of the wall of said elongated tube. 
     
     
         6 . The small game carrier of  claim 2  wherein said terminus is an integral part of the wall of said elongated tube. 
     
     
         7 . The small game carrier of  claim 3  wherein said terminus is an integral part of the wall of said elongated tube. 
     
     
         8 . The small game carrier of  claim 4  wherein said terminus is an integral part of the wall of said elongated tube. 
     
     
         9 . The small game carrier of  claim 2  wherein said reinforcing ring is integrally formed with said elongated tube. 
     
     
         10 . The small game carrier of  claim 4  wherein said reinforcing ring is integrally formed with said elongated tube. 
     
     
         11 . The small game carrier of  claim 6  wherein said reinforcing ring is integrally formed with said elongated tube. 
     
     
         12 . The small game carrier of  claim 8  wherein said reinforcing ring is integrally formed with said elongated tube. 
     
     
         13 . The small game carrier of  claim 3  wherein said means to removably attached the elongated tube to an item of clothing worn by the user of the small game carrier is comprised of a belt clip. 
     
     
         14 . The small game carrier of  claim 7  wherein said means to removably attached the elongated tube to an item of clothing worn by the user of the small game carrier is comprised of a belt clip. 
     
     
         15 . The small game carrier of  claim 13  wherein said belt clip is comprised of spring steel wire. 
     
     
         16 . The small game carrier of  claim 14  wherein said belt clip is comprised of spring steel wire.
