Outdoor Apparatus for Outdoor Grills Providing Overhead Canopy Function During Cooking and Retractable to Become a Cover for Storage

Abstract

An apparatus provides overhead canopy/cover function for an outdoor cooking grill. The canopy provides protection of the food and the grill from fallen debris during cooking. When the grill is not in use, the apparatus can be retracted to a cover position for storage. In the retracted position, the apparatus provides a compact cover to prevent dust and other debris from damaging the grill.

1 . An apparatus for preventing the outdoor elements from damaging an outdoor cooking grill in its compact retracted position. The apparatus can be opened conveniently to become an overhead canopy to prevent debris from reaching food items being cooked on the grill:
 a stand for withholding the apparatus in a safe and steady position.   a frame for supporting the main cover material   a main cover for providing protection of the cooking grill   a pair of retractable hinges for conversion from storage cover to open canopy   a simple operation to retract the apparatus from canopy to storage cover
