Bounce-landing puck-toss game
Abstract
A method of playing a puck-tossing game includes providing a target puck, a first plurality of tossing pucks of a first color, and a second plurality of tossing pucks of a second color. The target puck is tossed from a first tossing location, a distance of between approximately 10 feet to approximately 50 feet. At least one of the first plurality of tossing pucks is tossed toward the target puck in an effort to cause the at least one tossing puck from the first plurality of tossing pucks to land directly on top of the target puck. One of the second plurality of tossing pucks is tossed toward the target puck in an effort to cause the at least one tossing puck from the second plurality of tossing pucks to land on top of the target puck.
Claims

providing a target puck; providing a first plurality of tossing pucks of a first color, each tossing puck in the first plurality of tossing pucks having a diameter substantially equal to a diameter of the target puck; providing a second plurality of tossing pucks of a second color different from the first color, each tossing puck in the second plurality of tossing pucks having a diameter substantially equal to a diameter of the target puck; tossing the target puck, from a first tossing location, a distance of between approximately 10 feet to approximately 50 feet; tossing, from the first tossing location, at least one tossing puck from the first plurality of tossing pucks toward the target puck in an effort to cause the at least one tossing puck from the first plurality of tossing pucks to land directly on top of the target puck; and tossing, from one of:
the first tossing location; and
a second tossing location opposite the first tossing location, with reference to the target puck,
at least one tossing puck from the second plurality of tossing pucks toward the target puck in an effort to cause the at least one tossing puck from the second plurality of tossing pucks to land on top of the target puck.
2 . The method according to claim 1 , further comprising:
awarding a first score for causing the at least one tossing puck from the first plurality of tossing pucks to land on top of the target puck; and awarding a second score for causing the at least one tossing puck from the first plurality of tossing pucks to land next to the target puck, the second score being less than the first score.
3 . The method according to claim 1 , further comprising:
awarding a first score for causing the at least one tossing puck from the first plurality of tossing pucks to land completely on top of the target puck; awarding a second score for causing only a portion of the at least one tossing puck from the first plurality of tossing pucks to land on top of the target puck, the second score being less than the first score; and awarding a third score for causing the at least one tossing puck from the first plurality of tossing pucks to land next to the target puck, the third score being less than the second score.
4 . The method according to claim 1 , further comprising:
tossing at least one tossing puck from the first plurality of tossing pucks and knocking at least one tossing puck from the second plurality of tossing pucks off of the target puck.
5 . The method according to claim 1 , wherein:
the target puck is substantially round with a diameter of at least about 4¾ inches.
6 . The method according to claim 1 , wherein:
the first plurality of tossing pucks and the second plurality of tossing pucks are substantially round with a diameter of at least about 4¾ inches.
7 . The method according to claim 6 , wherein:
the first plurality of tossing pucks and the second plurality of tossing pucks each have an outer edge with a thickness of at least about ¾ of an inch.
8 . The method according to claim 1 , wherein the first plurality of tossing pucks include:
a first face; a second face opposite the first face; and a side edge coupling the first face to the second face, the side edge:
meeting the first face at a substantially 90 degree corner; and
meeting the second face at a corner having a radius of between about 1/32 of an inch to about ¼ of an inch.
9 . The method according to claim 8 , further comprising:
tossing at least one tossing puck from the first plurality of tossing pucks with the radius facing down in response to identifying at least one tossing puck from the second plurality of tossing pucks resting on the target puck.
10 . A method of playing a game, the method comprising:
tossing a target puck, from a first tossing location, a distance of between approximately 10 feet to approximately 50 feet; tossing, from the first tossing location, at least one tossing puck from a first plurality of tossing pucks toward the tossed target puck in an effort to cause the at least one tossing puck from the first plurality of tossing pucks to land on top of the tossed target puck; and tossing, from a second tossing location on a side of the tossed target puck opposite the first tossing location and at a distance from the tossed target puck substantially equal to a distance between the first tossing location and the tossed target puck, at least one tossing puck from a second plurality of tossing pucks toward the tossed target puck in an effort to cause the at least one tossing puck from the second plurality of tossing pucks to land on top of the target puck.
11 . The method according to claim 10 , wherein:
the first plurality of tossing pucks are of a first color; and the second plurality of tossing pucks are of a second color different from the first color.
12 . The method according to claim 10 , wherein
each tossing puck in the first plurality of tossing pucks has a diameter substantially equal to a diameter of the target puck.
13 . The method according to claim 10 , further comprising:
awarding a first score for causing the at least one tossing puck from the first plurality of tossing pucks to land on top of the target puck; and awarding a second score for causing the at least one tossing puck from the first plurality of tossing pucks to land next to the target puck, the second score being less than the first score.
14 . The method according to claim 10 , further comprising:
awarding a first score for causing the at least one tossing puck from the first plurality of tossing pucks to land completely on top of the target puck; awarding a second score for causing only a portion of the at least one tossing puck from the first plurality of tossing pucks to land on top of the target puck, the second score being less than the first score; and awarding a third score for causing the at least one tossing puck from the first plurality of tossing pucks to land next to the target puck, the third score being less than the second score.
15 . The method according to claim 10 , further comprising:
tossing at least one tossing puck from the first plurality of tossing pucks and knocking at least one tossing puck from the second plurality of tossing pucks off of the target puck.
16 . The method according to claim 10 , wherein:
the target puck is substantially round with a diameter of at least about 4¾ inches.
