Drink container straw

Abstract

A drink container straw includes a hollow, elongated body. The body has a first end, a second end, an inner wall and an outer wall. The body has a removable cap that seals the first end and a frangible seal located adjacent the second end. The elongated body securely encloses a predetermined quantity of a consumable liquid. The seal is secured by a plug that has an upper end, a lower end and a hollow core. The tapered plug fits frictionally within the second end of the body. The plug further includes an O-ring groove and an O-ring that secures the frangible seal over the upper end of the plug thereby blocking the hollow core and sealing the second end of the body. The plug further includes a lower protruding rim to prevent entry into the body. The plug includes at least one leg that extends downwardly from the rim.

1 . A drink container straw, comprising:
 a hollow, elongated body, said body having a first end, a second end, an inner wall and an outer wall;   said body having a removable cap sealing said first end and a frangible seal disposed adjacent said second end; and   said elongated body securely enclosing a predetermined quantity of a consumable liquid.   
     
     
         2 . The drink container straw, as described in  claim 1 , wherein said inner and outer walls extend below said frangible seal for a first predetermined distance. 
     
     
         3 . The drink container straw, as described in  claim 2 , further comprising at least one passageway, said passageway penetrating said inner and outer walls below said frangible seal. 
     
     
         4 . The drink container straw, as described in  claim 1 , wherein said frangible seal is formed of material selected from the group comprising:
 plastic film, paper, biodegradable film, vegetable-based film and starch-based film.   
     
     
         5 . The drink container straw, as described in  claim 4 , wherein said frangible seal is secured adjacent said second end by a plug, said plug having an upper end, a lower end and a hollow core extending from said upper end to said lower end. 
     
     
         6 . The drink container straw, as described in  claim 5 , wherein said plug is sized and shaped to fit frictionally within said inner wall of said second end of said elongated body. 
     
     
         7 . The drink container straw, as described in  claim 5 , wherein said plug is tapered from a first, larger diameter at said lower end to a second, smaller diameter at said upper end. 
     
     
         8 . The drink container straw, as described in  claim 5 , wherein said plug further comprises an O-ring groove, said groove being spaced downwardly from said upper end and disposed orthogonally to a central vertical axis of said plug. 
     
     
         9 . The drink container straw, as described in  claim 8 , wherein said plug further comprises an O-ring, said O-ring secures said frangible seal over said upper end of said plug thereby blocking said hollow core and sealing said second end of said elongated body. 
     
     
         10 . The drink container straw, as described in  claim 5 , wherein said plug further comprises a protruding rim, said rim being disposed adjacent said lower end and being sized and shaped to prevent entry of said rim into said second end of said elongated body. 
     
     
         11 . The drink container straw, as described in  claim 10 , wherein said plug further comprises at least one leg, said leg extending downwardly from said protruding rim for a first predetermined distance.
