Flip mop

Abstract

A flip mop apparatus has a handle; a mop head mounted on the handle; a sheet flipper mounted on the mop head; and a cleaning sheet mounted to the sheet flipper. The sheet flipper has an outside arm and an inside arm that are movable and configured to transpose between a first mode and a second mode for flipping the cleaning sheet that has a first edge mounted to the outside arm and a second edge mounted to the inside arm. The sheet flipper may have an inside gear in gear connection with an outside gear. The inside gear may have gear connection with the outside gear through an intermediate gear. The inside gear may have inside gear outside teeth meshing with intermediate gear teeth on the intermediate gear. Intermediate gear teeth also mesh with outside gear inside teeth.

1 . A flip mop apparatus comprising:
 a. a handle;   b. a mop head mounted on the handle;   c. a sheet flipper mounted on the mop head; and   d. a cleaning sheet mounted to the sheet flipper, wherein the sheet flipper has an outside arm and an inside arm, wherein the outside arm and the inside arm are movable and configured to transpose between a first mode and a second mode for flipping the cleaning sheet that has a first edge mounted to the outside arm and a second edge mounted to the inside arm.   
     
     
         2 . The flip mop of  claim 1 , wherein the mop head further comprises a lower housing and an upper housing fitting over the lower housing, wherein the mop head has a mop handle connection comprising: a swivel joint mounted to a swivel joint base, wherein the swivel joint base is mounted to the lower housing. 
     
     
         3 . The flip mop of  claim 1 , wherein the mop head further comprises an inside frame, wherein the inside frame has a swivel connection to the handle. 
     
     
         4 . The flip mop of  claim 1 , wherein the outside arm has a first slot for retaining the sheet, wherein the inside arm has a second slot for retaining the sheet. 
     
     
         5 . The flip mop of  claim 1 , wherein the outside arm has an outside arm inside portion angled to an outside arm terminal portion, wherein the inside arm an inside arm inside portion angled to an inside arm terminal portion. 
     
     
         6 . The flip mop of  claim 1 , wherein the sheet flipper further comprises an inside gear in gear connection with an outside gear, wherein the inside gear has gear connection with the outside gear through an intermediate gear, wherein the inside gear rotates in an opposite direction to the outside gear.

         21 . The flip mop of  claim 6 , wherein the outside arm connects with the inside gear, and the inside arm connects with the outside gear. 
     
     
         22 . The flip mop of  claim 6 , wherein the sheet flipper further comprises a main gear mounted on the mop head and engaging with the inside gear. 
     
     
         23 . The flip mop of  claim 22 , wherein the main gear has a pair of tabs that protrude from a top surface of the main gear. 
     
     
         24 . The flip mop of  claim 22 , wherein the main gear has a opening for accommodating a swivel joint base. 
     
     
         25 . The flip mop of  claim 6 , wherein the mop head has an inside frame with an axle support for supporting the intermediate gear. 
     
     
         26 . The flip mop of  claim 6 , further comprising an outside arm shaft connecting between the outside arm and the inside gear, the outside gear has an opening for passage of the outside arm shaft. 
     
     
         27 . The flip mop of  claim 26 , wherein the outside arm shaft has a connecting portion telescopically connecting with outside arm. 
     
     
         28 . The flip mop of  claim 27 , wherein the outside gear has an arc groove extending around the opening of the outside gear. 
     
     
         29 . The flip mop of  claim 6 , wherein the mop head has a depression for storing the inside gear, the outside gear and the intermediate gear. 
     
     
         30 . The flip mop of  claim 6 , wherein the outside arm has an outside arm terminal portion and an outside arm inside portion at a right angle to the outside arm terminal portion; the inside arm has an inside arm terminal portion and an inside arm inside portion at a right angle to the inside arm terminal portion. 
     
     
         31 . The flip mop of  claim 1 , further comprising a swivel joint base fixedly attached to the mop head, two swivel joint hinges protruding from the swivel joint base, and a swivel joint mounted in the swivel joint hinges and connecting with the handle. 
     
     
         32 . The flip mop of  claim 1 , wherein the mop head has a top housing, a bottom housing and an inside frame, the inside frame having a plurality of ribs engaging with slots on a top surface of the bottom housing.
