Additional therapeutic use

Abstract

The invention relates to the use of an AT 1 receptor antagonist or an AT 2 receptor modulator, respectively, or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, for producing a pharmaceutical preparation for the treatment of conditions or diseases associated with the increase of AT 1 receptors in the sub-epithelial area or increase of AT 2 receptors in the epithelia.

1 . A compressed tablet comprising valsartan, microcrystalline cellulose and crospovidone, wherein the weight ratio of valsartan to microcrystalline cellulose is from 1.4:1 to 1:1. 
     
     
         2 . A tablet according to  claim 1  comprising less than 13% by weight of crospovidone. 
     
     
         3 . A tablet according to  claim 1 , wherein the weight ratio of microcrystalline cellulose to crospovidone is from 7:1 to 3.6:1. 
     
     
         4 . A tablet according to  claim 1 , wherein the tablet comprises more than 250 mg and up to 360 mg valsartan as an active agent. 
     
     
         5 . A tablet according to  claim 1 , wherein the tablet comprises 320 mg valsartan as an active agent. 
     
     
         6 . A tablet according to  claim 1 , comprising
 40 mg of valsartan   27 mg of microcrystalline cellulose and   7.5 mg of crospovidone.   
     
     
         7 . A tablet according to  claim 1 , comprising
 80 mg of valsartan   54 mg of microcrystalline cellulose and   15 mg of crospovidone.   
     
     
         8 . A tablet according to  claim 1  comprising
 160 mg of valsartan 
 108 mg of microcrystalline cellulose and 
 30 mg of crospovidone. 
 
     
     
         9 . A tablet according to  claim 1 , comprising
 320 mg of valsartan   216 mg of microcrystalline cellulose and   60 mg of crospovidone.   
     
     
         10 . A compressed tablet comprising valsartan, more than 30% up to 65% by weight of microcrystalline cellulose, and less than 13% by weight of crospovidone. 
     
     
         11 . The tablet of  claim 10  further comprising 20% to 65% by weight of valsartan. 
     
     
         12 . The tablet of  claim 10  comprising:
 20 to 65% by weight of valsartan 
 31% to 65% by weight of microcrystalline cellulose 
 2% to 10% by weight of crospovidone 
 1 to 10% by weight of magnesium stearate and 
 0.5% to 5% by weight of colloidal anhydrous silica.
