Abstract
A low height precompression pump having a piston with a lower outwardly flaring lip seal and an inwardly flaring lip seal rimming a central aperture of the piston, and which may include a first elastic member housed in the cylinder and a second elastic member having an upper bearing point applied directly on the plunger rod above an upper retention cover.

9 . A device for selectively allowing flow, comprising:
a tube whose interior defines a communication passage; and a plug mounted in the tube, the plug comprising
a portion inside the tube and flattened so as to not occupy all of the communication passage, and
a projecting part with a diameter greater than the tube.
10 . The device of claim 9 , wherein the plug is mounted in the tube by at least one of friction and snapping.
11 . The device of claim 9 , further comprising a cap mounted at the end of the tube opposite from the plug.
12 . The device of claim 11 , wherein the cap includes a spray device.
13 . The device of claim 9 , used in a spray pump.
14 . The device of claim 13 , used in a precompression spray pump,
15 . An elastic member, comprising:
a cylindrical sleeve; a first pair of slots each extending partially around the sleeve in a circumferential direction, the first pair of slots separated in the circumferential direction by a first pair of bond areas; a second pair of slots each extending partially around the sleeve in the circumferential direction, the second pair of slots separated in the circumferential direction by a second pair of bond areas, the second pair of slots positioned axially apart from the first pair of slots; wherein the second pair of slots are staggered with respect to the first pair of slots such that the bond areas of the second pair are intercalated between the slots of the first pair.
16 . The elastic member of claim 15 , further comprising a tube positioned inside the cylindrical sleeve.
17 . The elastic member of claim 16 , wherein the tube is joined to the cylindrical sleeve to form a single part.
18 . The elastic member of claim 17 , wherein the cylindrical sleeve and the tube are formed as a single part by injection molding.
19 . The elastic member of claim 16 , further comprising a plug mounted in the tube.
20 . The elastic member of claim 19 , wherein the plug comprises a portion inside the tube and flattened so as to not occupy all of the interior of the tube, and a projecting part with a diameter greater than the tube.
21 . The elastic member of claim 19 , wherein the plug is mounted in the tube by at least one of friction and snapping.
22 . The elastic member of claim 15 , used in a spray pump.
