Anti-Reverse Device to Block and Prevent Waste Water in a Toilet Bowl from Flowing Backward
Abstract
An anti-reverse device includes a handle, a blocking member secured on the handle, a fixing plate mounted on the handle, and an adjusting sleeve movably mounted on the handle and abutting the fixing plate. Thus, the fixing plate is fixed on the flange of the toilet bowl, and the blocking member is fixed on the draining port of the toilet bowl to lock the anti-reverse device onto toilet bowl so that the blocking member can block the draining port of the toilet bowl closely and tightly to prevent the waste water from flowing back from the draining port of the toilet bowl due to an irregular pressure condition such that the waste water is stopped and will not flow outward from the toilet bowl.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . An anti-reverse device, comprising:
a handle; a blocking member secured on the handle; a fixing plate mounted on the handle; and an adjusting sleeve movably mounted on the handle and abutting the fixing plate to drive the fixing plate to move relative to the blocking member so as to adjust a distance between the fixing plate and the blocking member.
2 . The anti-reverse device of claim 1 , wherein
the handle is provided with a threaded rod; the threaded rod of the handle has a lower end secured in the blocking member; the blocking member has a top provided with a mounting stud mounted on the lower end of the threaded rod; the adjusting sleeve has an inner wall formed with an inner threaded portion screwed onto the threaded rod of the handle.
3 . The anti-reverse device of claim 2 , wherein the mounting stud of the blocking member has an inner wall formed with a screw bore screwed onto the lower end of the threaded rod to lock the mounting stud of the blocking member onto the threaded rod of the handle.
4 . The anti-reverse device of claim 2 , wherein
the fixing plate is provided with two resting pieces which are located at two opposite ends of the fixing plate respectively; the anti-reverse device further comprises a toilet bowl having a peripheral wall formed with an annular flange and having a bottom provided with a draining port; the blocking member is mounted on the draining port of the toilet bowl to block the draining port of the toilet bowl; the two resting pieces of the fixing plate abut the flange of the toilet bowl.
5 . The anti-reverse device of claim 4 , wherein the fixing plate is pressed toward the flange of the toilet bowl by pushing of the adjusting sleeve so that the fixing plate is fixed on the flange of the toilet bowl.
6 . The anti-reverse device of claim 1 , wherein the blocking member is a sucker.
7 . The anti-reverse device of claim 1 , wherein the adjusting sleeve has a substantially hexagonal cross-sectional profile.
8 . The anti-reverse device of claim 1 , wherein the adjusting sleeve is disposed between the fixing plate and the blocking member.
9 . The anti-reverse device of claim 2 , wherein the adjusting sleeve is movable on the handle by rotation of the adjusting sleeve relative to the threaded rod of the handle.
10 . The anti-reverse device of claim 2 , wherein the adjusting sleeve has a top abutting the fixing plate.
11 . The anti-reverse device of claim 1 , wherein the fixing plate has a substantially inverted U-shaped profile.
12 . The anti-reverse device of claim 10 , wherein the fixing plate is movable on the handle by pushing of the adjusting sleeve.
13 . The anti-reverse device of claim 2 , wherein the fixing plate has a middle portion formed with a through hole mounted on the threaded rod of the handle.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
