Abstract

A stator element having a yoke is provided. The stator has several laminated metal plates and a number of tooth radially protruding from one side of the yoke. The stator also has a cooling unit providing a path for the flow of a cooling medium along the yoke. The yoke is at least partially provided with a plated metal layer in the region contacted by the cooling unit.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 .- 14 . (canceled)

         15 . A stator element, comprising:
a yoke comprising a plurality of laminated metal plates and a plurality of tooth radially protruding from one side of the yoke; and a cooling unit providing a path for a flow of a cooling medium along the yoke, wherein the yoke comprises a plated metal layer in a region contacted by the cooling unit.

16 . The stator element as claimed in claim 15 , wherein the cooling unit comprises a cooling channel and/or a cooling cavity.

17 . The stator element as claimed in claim 16 , wherein the cooling channel and/or the cooling cavity is integrally built inside the yoke.

18 . The stator element as claimed in claim 17 , wherein the plated metal layer completely surrounds the cooling channel and/or the cooling cavity.

19 . The stator element as claimed in claim 16 , wherein the cooling channel and/or the cooling cavity directly contacts to the yoke.

20 . The stator element as claimed in claim 19 , wherein the plated metal layer is disposed in the contact region of the cooling channel and/or the cooling cavity with the yoke.

21 . The stator element as claimed in claim 20 , wherein the cooling channel and/or the cooling cavity extends in a meander-like shape.

22 . The stator element as claimed in claim 15 , wherein the cooling unit comprises a first cooling channel and/or a first cooling cavity communicates with a further cooling channel and/or a further cooling cavity and/or a further cooling unit by a hose.

23 . The stator element as claimed in claim 22 , wherein the further cooling unit supplies the cooling medium.

24 . The stator element as claimed in claim 15 , wherein the plated metal layer is provided by physical and/or chemical deposition.

25 . The stator element as claimed in claim 24 , wherein the physical and/or chemical deposition comprises a physical or chemical vapour deposition and/or an electroplating, or a mechanical plating.

26 . The stator element as claimed in claim 15 , wherein the plated metal layer has a same or a similar coefficient of thermal expansion as the laminated metal plates of the yoke.

27 . The stator element as claimed in claim 15 , wherein the plated metal layer is made of a same material as the laminated metal plates of the yoke.

28 . The stator element as claimed in claim 15 , wherein the cooling unit is disposed at a side of the stator element opposite to the tooth.

29 . The stator element as claimed in claim 15 , wherein the stator element is a ring-shaped stator.

30 . The stator element as claimed in claim 15 , wherein the stator element is a stator segment to build a ring-shaped stator when assembled.

31 . An electric machine, comprising:
a rotor; and a stator comprising:
a yoke comprising a plurality of laminated metal plates and a plurality of tooth radially protruding from one side of the yoke; and
a cooling unit providing a path for a flow of a cooling medium along the yoke,
wherein the yoke comprises a plated metal layer in a region contacted by the cooling unit.
