Abstract

An automatic pop-up cigar cutter is provided with a cutting blade assembly including a blade in a cutting-blade-assembly receiving groove, and at least one cutting blade spring in at least one assembling groove. The cutting blade spring has both ends thereof pressed against the base and the cutting blade assembly, so that the cutting blade assembly can be pressed out of the cutting-blade-assembly receiving groove. The base is further provided with a control knob assembling including a fixing knob and a moving knob that are mated through a fixing cylinder and a moving cylinder, and the cutting blade assembly is correspondingly formed with a fixing hole and a moving hole. The fixing cylinder is smaller than the fixing hole and greater than the moving hole, and the moving cylinder is smaller than the moving hole. By such arrangements, the user can cut off the cigar with a single hand.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . An automatic pop-up cigar cutter comprising:
a base being formed at one side thereof with a cutting-blade-assembly receiving groove, and an assembling hole penetrating the cutting-blade-assembly receiving groove being formed adjacent to an opening of the cutting-blade-assembly receiving groove, the cutting-blade-assembly receiving groove being provided on at least one side thereof with an assembling groove, the base being further formed with a cutting hole penetrating the cutting-blade-assembly receiving groove; a cutting blade assembly being disposed in the cutting-blade-assembly receiving groove from the opening of the cutting-blade-assembly receiving groove of the base, the cutting blade assembly being provided with a cutting blade at an end thereof which extends into the cutting-blade-assembly receiving groove, the cutting blade assembly being formed with a fixing hole, and a moving hole extending from the fixing hole in a sliding direction of the cutting blade, a width of the fixing hole being greater than that of the moving hole in the sliding direction of the cutting blade; at least one cutting blade spring having a first end disposed in the assembling groove and pressed against the base, and a second end of the at least one cutting blade spring being pressed against the cutting blade assembly; a control knob assembly including a fixing knob and a moving knob, the fixing knob being formed with a fixing cylinder, the moving knob being formed with a moving cylinder, the fixing knob and the moving knob being mated with each other in the assembling hole of the base and located at both sides of the base, a width of the fixing cylinder being smaller than that of the fixing hole and greater than that of the moving hole, and a width of the moving cylinder being smaller than that of the moving hole, so that the fixing cylinder and the moving cylinder are allowed to move in the assembling hole along the sliding direction of the cutting blade, when the fixing cylinder extends into the fixing hole, the cutting blade will be in a pressed stored state, and when the moving cylinder extends into the moving hole, the cutting blade will be in a pop-up state; and a control spring being disposed between the moving knob of the control knob assembly and the base, a first end of the control spring being pressed against the moving knob, and a second end of the control spring being pressed against the base, the control knob assembly being normally elastically pressed toward the moving knob.

2 . The automatic pop-up cigar cutter as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the base is provided with two assembling grooves at both sides thereof, the cutting blade assembly is provided on both sides thereof with two assembling pins, two cutting blade springs are mounted on the two assembling pins in the two assembling grooves.

3 . The automatic pop-up cigar cutter as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the fixing hole and the moving hole are both through holes.

4 . The automatic pop-up cigar cutter as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the fixing hole is a blind hole, the moving hole is a through hole.

5 . The automatic pop-up cigar cutter as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the fixing cylinder of the fixing knob is formed with a through hole, the moving cylinder of the moving knob is interiorly provided with a threaded portion, a threaded element is inserted through the through hole of the fixing cylinder and then screwed with the threaded portion to combine the moving knob and the fixing knob.

6 . The automatic pop-up cigar cutter as claimed in claim 5 , wherein a sealing cover covers the through hole of the fixing knob to seal the threaded element in the through hole of the fixing knob.
