Machine for grinding dies
Abstract
The invention relates to a machine and process for grinding dies, in which the work axis (CO) of the plate ( 2.1 ) in which the die ( 1 ) to be machined is anchored is controlled at all the points of its angular movement, allowing the interpolation of the movements of this work axis (CO) with those of an axis of rotation (BO) and with those of respective axes (X and Z), such that the machines has four axes of interpolation, which allows machining dies ( 1 ) with their inner or outer diameter rounded or non-rounded and with their transition between these diameters and the side faces constant or variable by means of a single grinding process.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 - 6 . (canceled)
7 . A machine for grinding dies, comprising:
a base capable of rotating according to an axis of rotation; a plate having a work axis and a fixing device, the fixing device capable of anchoring a die as a workpiece, and the plate being operatively mounted to the base; a spindle mounted to at least two slide tables, each slide table having a respective slide axis, and the spindle being movable along axes of the slide tables; and the plate controllable in angular movement along its work axis to allow interpolation of the movements about the work axis of the plate so as to allow control of the plate at all points of its angular movement, which allows the interpolation of the movements of the work axis with those of the plate with respect to the axis of rotation of the base and those of a grinding axis with respect to the slide axes, such that the machine has four axes of interpolation (BO, CO, X and Z).Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
