Oral Hygiene Station for Children

Abstract

An oral hygiene station ( 10 ) for children has a portable, hand held body ( 12 ), and a suction cup ( 26 ) for releasably mounting the body to a vanity unit. The body ( 12 ) has a basin ( 16 ) and a lid ( 18 ) hingedly connected thereto for opening and closing the basin. The basin has slots ( 20 ) each of which can receive therethrough the shaft of a toothbrush. The basin also has a mouth wash cup holder ( 22 ). The lid ( 18 ) has a mirror ( 24 ) supported on its inside surface so that a child using the oral hygiene station ( 10 ) can see themselves in the mirror when the lid is opened.

An oral hygiene station for children comprising a portable, hand held body, and means for releasably mounting the body to a vanity unit, the body including a basin and a lid hingedly connected thereto for opening and closing the basin, the basin having associated with it at least one toothbrush holder and a mouth wash cup holder, the lid having a mirror supported on its inside surface so that a child using the oral hygiene station can see themselves in the mirror when the lid is opened. 
     
     
         2 . The oral hygiene station of  claim 1  wherein the mounting means comprises one or more suction cups. 
     
     
         3 . The oral hygiene station of  claim 2  and further including flexible extension straps connected to the or each suction cup. 
     
     
         4 . The oral hygiene station of  claim 3  wherein a handle is secured to the lid. 
     
     
         5 . The oral hygiene station of  claim 1  wherein a drainage cup for receiving and pooling liquid from the basin is removably secured to an outlet drain of the basin. 
     
     
         6 . The oral hygiene station of  claim 5  wherein the drainage cup is threadably secured to the outlet drain by screwable engagement of complementary threaded portions. 
     
     
         7 . The oral hygiene station of  claim 5  and further including a drainage grille positioned over the outlet drain. 
     
     
         8 . The oral hygiene station of  claim 1  wherein the or each toothbrush holder comprises a slot adapted to receive therethrough the shaft of a toothbrush but not the head of the toothbrush.
