Abstract

Children's footwear, garments, and fashion accessories with an accompanying kit containing interchangeable design pieces which the child may attach and arrange on the footwear, garment, or fashion accessory allowing for artistic creation and self-expression.

1 . An apparatus comprising:
 footwear, said footwear comprising:
 a surface, said surface having a first distinct visual impression, 
 at least a first base layer, said base layer having a shape, a thickness, a first side, a position, a second distinct visual impression, and a surface area,
 said first base layer mounted on the surface of the footwear, 
 the first side of the first base layer comprising one side of a hook and loop fastener; 
 
   at least a first background, the first background having a first side and a second side, a thickness, a shape, a third distinct visual impression, and a surface area,
 said first side of the first background comprising one side of a hook and loop fastener, wherein the side of the hook and loop fastener of the first side of the background is the opposite of the side of the side of the hook and loop fastener of the first side of the base layer, 
 said second side of the first background comprising one side of a hook and loop fastener, 
 the first background mounted on the surface of the footwear by the engagement of the hook and loop fastener of the first side of the first background and the hook and loop fastener of the first side of the base layer. 
   
     
     
         2 . The apparatus of  claim 1  further comprising:
 at least a first single-sided embellishment, said single-sided embellishment having a first side, a fourth distinct visual impression, and a thickness,
 said first side further characterized in that it comprises one side of a hook and loop fastener, said side of the hook and loop fastener of the first side of the first single-sided embellishment being the opposite of the side of the hook and loop fastener of the first side of the first base layer, 
 said first single-sided embellishment connected to the first side of the base layer by the engagement of the hook and loop fastener of the first side of the first single-sided embellishment and the hook and loop fastener of the first side of the first base layer. 
 
 
     
     
         3 . The apparatus of  claim 1  further comprising:
 at least a first single-sided embellishment, said first single-sided embellishment having a first side, a fourth distinct visual impression, and a thickness,
 said first side further characterized in that it comprises one side of a hook and loop fastener, said side of the hook and loop fastener of the first side of the first single-sided embellishment being the opposite of the side of the hook and loop fastener of the second side of the first background, 
 said first single-sided embellishment connected to the second side of the first background by the engagement of the hook and loop fastener of the first side of the first single-sided embellishment and the hook and loop fastener of the second side of the first background. 
 
 
     
     
         4 . The apparatus of  claim 1  further comprising:
 at least a first double-sided embellishment having a first side, a second side, a fifth distinct visual impression, and a thickness,
 said first side further characterized in that it comprises one side of a hook and loop fastener, 
 said second side further characterized in that it comprises one side of a hook and loop fastener, 
 said first double-sided embellishment connected to the first side of the base layer by the engagement of the hook and loop fastener of the first side of the first double-sided embellishment and the hook and loop fastener of the first side of the first base layer.

         6 . The apparatus of  claim 4  further comprising a piece of rope lighting and wherein the first double-sided embellishment is a piece of hook and loop tape which acts a stay for supporting the piece of rope lighting.

 at least a first double-sided embellishment, said first double-sided embellishment having a first side and a second side, a fifth distinct visual impression, and a thickness,
 said first side further characterized in that it comprises one side of a hook and loop fastener, 
 said second side further characterized in that it comprises one side of a hook and loop fastener, 
 said first double-sided embellishment connected to the second side of the background by the engagement of the hook and loop fastener of the first side of the first double-sided embellishment and the hook and loop fastener of the second side of the first background.

 said second side of the first background further characterized in that it comprises one side of a hook and loop fastener, 
 the first background mounted on the surface of the wearable garment by connection of the hook and loop fastener of the first side of the first background and the hook and loop fastener of the first side of the base layer.

 said second side of the first background further characterized in that it comprises one side of a hook and loop fastener, 
 the first background mounted on the surface of the fashion accessory by connection of the hook and loop fastener of the first side of the first background and the hook and loop fastener of the first side of the first base layer.
