Abstract
Apparatus, methods and articles of manufacture for n-tier transaction execution and processing are shown. The first layer comprises a presentation layer in the form of a user interface for entering instrument orders, modifying orders, and monitoring orders, instruments and markets. The second layer comprises an intermediate component layer for information transfer, and the third layer comprises an information source layer for feeding information to and accepting information from the first two layers.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 - 25 . (canceled)
26 . A processor implemented method for facilitating financial instrument transactions comprising:
receiving by a processor user selected information including at least an exchange name and a product type; loading by a processor a workspace, with a plurality of interconnected configurable windows, based on the user selected information; displaying financial market data, based on the user selected information, in a trader interface window located in the workspace; receiving a trade order from a presentation window located in the workspace; determining by a processor if the received trade order is a working trade order or a pending trade order; routing the determined working trade order for execution based on the user selected information; and aggregating financial data for the executed working trade order, wherein the financial data includes historical bid prices, bid volumes and times of execution.
27 . A processor implemented method of claim 26 , further comprising storing the determined pending trade order.
28 . A processor implemented method of claim 27 , further comprising updating the workspace with the aggregated financial data.
29 . A processor implemented method of claim 28 , further comprising updating the workspace with the stored pending trade order.
30 . A processor implemented method of claim 29 , further comprising trading a financial instrument through the workspace.
31 . A processor implemented method of claim 30 , wherein trading financial instruments through the workspace further comprises, trading the financial instrument through aggregated bid prices of the financial instrument.
32 . A processor implemented method of claim 31 , wherein the workspace, with a plurality of interconnected configurable windows, has a default configuration.
33 . A processor implemented method of claim 32 , further comprising defining as a user preference a layout for display of the plurality of interconnected configurable windows in the workspace.
34 . A processor implemented method of claim 33 , further comprising storing the defined user preference for the workspace.
35 . A processor implemented method of claim 34 , wherein the user preference for the layout of at least one interconnected configurable window prescribes a view that varies according to a trading event for a day of a week.
36 . A processor implemented method of claim 35 , wherein the defined user preference includes a color scheme.
37 . A processor implemented method of claim 36 , wherein the workspace comprises interconnected configurable windows for order entry, order modification, order monitoring, financial instrument monitoring, and market monitoring.
38 . An apparatus for executing and processing financial instrument transactions comprising:
a memory; a processor disposed in communication with said memory, and configured to issue a plurality of processing instructions stored in the memory, wherein the processor issues instructions to:
receive user selected information including at least an exchange name and a product type;
load a workspace, with a plurality of interconnected configurable windows, based on the user selected information;
display financial market data, based on the user selected information, in a trader interface window located in the workspace;
receive a trade order from a presentation window located in the workspace;
determine if the received trade order is a working trade order or a pending trade order;
route the determined working trade order for execution based on the user selected information; and
aggregate financial data for the executed working trade order, wherein the financial data includes historical bid prices, bid volumes and times of execution.
39 . An apparatus of claim 38 , wherein the processor issues instructions to store the determined pending trade order.
40 . An apparatus of claim 39 , wherein the processor issues instructions to update the workspace with the aggregated financial data.
41 . An apparatus of claim 40 , wherein the processor issues instructions to update the workspace with the stored pending trade order.
42 . An apparatus of claim 41 , wherein the processor issues instructions to trade a financial instrument through the workspace.
43 . An apparatus of claim 42 , wherein the processor issues instructions to store the defined user preference for the workspace.
44 . An apparatus of claim 43 , wherein the workspace, with a plurality of interconnected configurable windows, has a default configuration.
45 . An apparatus of claim 44 , wherein the processor issues instructions to define, as a user preference, a layout for display of the plurality of interconnected configurable windows in the workspace.
46 . A processor-readable medium for facilitating financial instrument transactions storing a plurality of processing instructions, comprising issuable instructions by a processor to:
receive user selected information including at least an exchange name and a product type; load a workspace, with a plurality of interconnected configurable windows, based on the user selected information; display financial market data, based on the user selected information, in a trader interface window located in the workspace; receive a trade order from a presentation window located in the workspace; determine if the received trade order is a working trade order or a pending trade order; route the determined working trade order for execution based on the user selected information; and aggregate financial data for the executed working trade order, wherein the financial data includes historical bid prices, bid volumes and times of execution.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
