Abstract

The invention provides methods for reducing the incidence and/or severity of restenosis through the use of remote ischemic conditioning.

1 . A method for reducing restenosis in subject comprising
 performing a repeated remote ischemic conditioning (RIC) regimen on a subject having or at risk of developing restenosis, in an amount and a frequency sufficient to reduce the incidence or severity of restenosis.   
     
     
         2 . The method of  claim 1 , wherein restenosis occurs following a medical intervention. 
     
     
         3 . The method of  claim 1 , wherein the repeated RIC regimen comprises more than one RIC regimen performed on a single day.
