Abstract
The present application describes a composition for blood glucose control containing green tea extracts (GTE) with gallated catechins (GC) and macromolecule to prevent the intestinal absorption of GC.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A composition for blood glucose control containing green tea extracts (GTE) with gallated catechins (GC) and a macromolecule to prevent the intestinal absorption of GC.
2 . The composition according to claim 1 , wherein the GC comprises at least one of epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG) or epicatechin gallate (ECG).
3 . The composition according to claim 1 , wherein the macromolecule is polyethylene glycol (PEG), PEG derivatives, PEG copolymer, water-soluble copolymer, methoxy PEG (mPEG) or polypropylene glycol (PPG).
4 . The composition according to claim 3 , wherein the macromolecule has molecular weight of 1,000-2,000,000 daltons.
5 . A functional food comprising the composition according to claim 1 .
6 . The functional food according to claim 5 , wherein the food is a beverage, tablet or powder.
7 . A pharmaceutical composition comprising a blood glucose controlling amount of the composition according to claim 1 , and a pharmaceutically acceptable excipient thereof.
8 . The pharmaceutical composition according to claim 7 , wherein the GC comprises EGCG or ECG.
9 . The pharmaceutical composition according to claim 7 , wherein the macromolecule is PEG, PEG derivatives, PEG copolymer, water-soluble copolymer, methoxy PEG (mPEG) or PPG.
10 . The pharmaceutical composition according to claim 7 , wherein the macromolecule has a molecular weight of 1,000-50,000 daltons.
11 . A method for controlling blood glucose level in a subject, comprising administering to the subject the composition according to claim 1 .Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
