Portable terminal

Abstract

A portable terminal displays a menu screen in which small screens respectively corresponding to categories are shown on display positions of a display unit, wherein the display positions respectively correspond to operation positions of an operation panel.

1 . A mobile device comprising:
 a displaying plane;   an operation panel to generate an event corresponding to an operation position; and   a display control unit that controls display of:   a stand-by screen displayed on the displaying plane after the mobile device is turned on,   a first screen having selectable items corresponding to the operation position selectable on the operational panel, wherein   the display control unit displays the first screen when a menu display operation is performed in a state where the stand-by screen is displayed on the displaying plane,   the display control unit keeps the stand-by screen as background screen of the first screen when the first screen is displayed on the displaying plane, and   the display control unit superimposes the selectable item of the first screen over the stand-by screen displayed as the background screen when the first screen is displayed on the displaying plane.   
     
     
         2 . The mobile device according to  claim 1 , wherein
 the operation position are two-dimensionally arranged on the operation panel,   the selectable items on the first screen are displayed at display positions two-dimensionally arranged on the displaying plane,   the display position of the selectable item on the first screen corresponds to the two-dimensionally arranged operation position.   
     
     
         3 . The mobile device according to  claim 1 , wherein
 the display control unit displays a second screen having content associated with the selected item on the first screen in response to a selection operation performed on the first screen,   the display control unit superimposes the content of the second screen over an image indicative of the selected item on the first screen.
