Abstract
A method of treating an inflammation in a subject thereof is provided. The method comprising administering to the subject a therapeutically effective amount of CCL2, thereby treating the inflammation. Also provided are pharmaceutical compositions and unit dosage forms which comprise CCL2 for the treatment of inflammation.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A method of treating an inflammation in a subject in need thereof, the method comprising administering to the subject a therapeutically effective amount of Chemokine (C-C motif) ligand 2 (CCL2), thereby treating the inflammation.
. The method of claim 1 , wherein the subject is a human subject.
. The method of claim 1 , wherein said therapeutically effective amount is 0.1-0.6 μg/kg body weight.
. The method of claim 1 , wherein said therapeutically effective amount is selected so as to avoid unwanted side-effects associated with elevated concentrations of CCL2.
. The method of claim 1 , wherein said therapeutically effective amount is selected to inhibit cell migration or homing.
. The method of claim 5 , wherein said cell is a CCR2 expressing cell.
. The method of claim 6 , wherein said cell is an immune cell or a cancer cell.
. The method of claim 1 , wherein the inflammation is associated with CCR2/CCL2 dependent cell migration or homing.
. The method of claim 8 , wherein said cell migration or homing comprises T-cell migration or homing.
. The method of claim 1 , wherein the inflammation is associated with allergy.
. The method of claim 10 , wherein said allergy is asthma.
. The method of claim 1 , wherein the inflammation is associated with an autoimmune disease.
. The method of claim 12 , wherein said autoimmune disease is Rheumatoid Arthritis.
. The method of claim 12 , wherein said autoimmune disease is colitis.
. The method of claim 12 , wherein said autoimmune disease is multiple sclerosis.
. The method of claim 1 , wherein the inflammation is associated with cancer.
. The method of claim 1 , wherein the inflammation is associated with a medical condition selected from the group consisting of cancer, autoimmune, hypersensitivity, diabetes, infectious, transplantation associated and allergy.
. A unit dosage form comprising 1 ng-200 μg CCL2.
. The unit dosage form of claim 18 , comprising 10-20 μg CCL2.
. A method of regulating cell migration, the method comprising contacting the cell with a medium comprising an amount of CCL2 selected to inhibit cell migration, thereby regulating cell migration.
. The method of claim 20 , wherein the cell is a CCR2 expressing cell.
. The method of claim 21 , wherein the cell is an immune cell or a cancer cell.
. The method of claim 20 , wherein said medium further comprises a cell-migration promoting agent.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
