Abstract

A cold appliance comprising a cabinet ( 101 ) comprising two opposite side wall panels ( 1 ), a rear wall panel ( 4 ), a top part ( 2 ), a bottom part ( 103 ), and a door ( 6 ). Each panel comprises an inner sheet ( 9 ), an outer sheet ( 8 ) and an intermediary layer ( 17 ) of a foamed insulating material. Each cabinet panel has an inner surface, an outer surface, and four edge surfaces, wherein the side wall panels, the rear wall panel, the top part, and the bottom part are assembled to form a cold compartment ( 104 ), which is closable with the door. The cold appliance ( 100 ) further comprises a profiled bar ( 23 ), mounted at an edge surface ( 16 ) at a front frame portion of the cabinet.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . A cold appliance comprising a cabinet ( 101 ) comprising two opposite side wall panels ( 1 ), a rear wall panel ( 4 ), a top part ( 2 ), a bottom part ( 103 ), and a door ( 6 ), wherein each panel comprises an inner sheet ( 9 ), an outer sheet ( 8 ) and an intermediary layer ( 17 ) of a foamed insulating material, wherein each cabinet panel has an inner surface, an outer surface, and four edge surfaces, wherein the side wall panels, the rear wall panel, the top part, and the bottom part are assembled to form a cold compartment ( 104 ), which is closable with the door, characterized in that the cold appliance ( 100 ) further comprises a profiled bar ( 23 ), mounted at an edge surface ( 16 ) of at least one of the panels, preferably mounted at the edge surface at a front frame portion of the cabinet.

2 . A cold appliance according to claim 1 , wherein the profiled bar ( 23 ) is made in a material such that the thermal bridge between the inner surface and outer surface of the panels during use is reduced.

3 . A cold appliance according to claim 1 , wherein the profiled bar ( 23 ) is made of a plastic material.

         4 . A cold appliance according to claim 1 , wherein the profiled bar ( 23 ) is attached to the edge ( 16 ) of the panel ( 1 ) by glue, e.g. double sided tape.

         5 . A cold appliance according to claim 1 , wherein the bar ( 23 ) is attached to the edge ( 16 ) of the panel ( 1 ) by form fitting.

6 . A cold appliance according to claim 1 , wherein the profiled bar ( 23 ) is in abutment with the door ( 6 ) when the door is closed, and wherein the profiled bar is provided with support means ( 27 ) for receiving a condensation preventing device ( 28 ).

7 . A cold appliance according to claim 6 , wherein the condensation preventing device ( 28 ) comprises a heat carrier tube ( 28 ), and said support means ( 27 ) comprises a recess in which the heat carrier tube is received, and a cover member ( 26 ) covering the recess.

8 . A cold appliance according to claim 7 , wherein said cover member ( 26 ) is made of a first magnetic material, and wherein the door ( 6 ) comprises a strip of complementary second magnetic material, the cover member and the strip in cooperation thereby forming a magnetic lock.

         9 . A cold appliance to claim 6 , wherein said support means ( 27 ) is provided as a U-shaped, in cross-section, elongated holder ( 27 ).

10 . A cold appliance according to claim 6 , wherein the profiled bar ( 23 ) comprises a first chamber ( 25 ) extending along the length thereof, and a second chamber ( 24 ) extending in parallel with the first chamber, wherein the first chamber holds the support means and is covered by the cover member ( 26 ), and wherein the second chamber is located closer to the interior of the cabinet ( 101 ) than the first chamber.

11 . A cold appliance according to claim 10 , wherein the second chamber ( 24 ) is closed and filled with an insulating material e.g. air or foam.

         12 . A cold appliance according to claim 1 , wherein the bar ( 23 ) comprises a wing ( 93 ) extending over an edge portion of the outer surface of ( 8 ) a panel ( 1 ).

13 . A cold appliance according to claim 1 , wherein the bar ( 23 ) is attached to the edge ( 16 ) of the pre-foamed panel, preferably during the assembling of the cold compartment ( 104 ).

14 . A cold appliance according to claim 1 , wherein the bar ( 23 ) is attached to the edge ( 16 ) of the panel ( 19 ) during a continuous process of manufacturing said panel.
