Abstract

Compounds of Formula I: in free or salt form, wherein R a , R b , R 2 , R 3 , R 4 and R 5 have the meanings as indicated in the specification, are useful for treating conditions that are mediated by mediated by phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase. Pharmaceutical compositions that contain the compounds and a process for preparing the compounds are also described.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 - 13 . (canceled)

14 . A method of treating a disease mediated by phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase in a subject in need thereof, comprising:
administering to said subject an effective amount of 1-[2-(2-ethyl-2H-tetrazol-5-yl)-ethyl]-3-[5-(3-fluoro-4-methanesulfonyl-phenyl)-4-methyl-thiazol-2-yl]-urea, in free or salt form.

15 . The method according to claim 14 , wherein the disease mediated by phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase is selected from respiratory diseases, allergies, rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, rheumatic disorders, psoriasis, ulcerative colitis, Crohn's disease, septic shock, proliferative disorders such as cancer, atherosclerosis, allograft rejection following transplantation, diabetes, stroke, obesity and restenosis.

16 . The method according to claim 15 , wherein the respiratory disease is selected from asthma, acute lung injury (ALI), adult respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS), chronic obstructive pulmonary, airways or lung disease (COPD, COAD or COLD), aluminosis, anthracosis, asbestosis, chalicosis, cystic fibrosis, ptilosis, siderosis, silicosis, tabacosis and byssinosis.

17 . The method according to claim 15 , wherein the respiratory disease is selected from asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary, airways and lung diseases (COPD, COAD or COLD).
