Shoe with transparent panels

Abstract

In accordance with one embodiment, a shoe includes a sole and an upper attached to the sole. The upper has a first transparent window formed therein, with the first window being completely contained within the upper such that material that forms the upper completely surrounds the first window. The first window permits an interior of the shoe to be visible.

1 . A shoe comprising:
 a sole;   an upper attached to the sole, wherein the upper has a first transparent window formed therein, the first window being completely contained within the upper such that material that forms the upper completely surrounds the first window, the first window permitting an interior of the shoe to be visible.   
     
     
         2 . The shoe of  claim 1 , wherein the window has a defined shape. 
     
     
         3 . The shoe of  claim 1 , wherein the window has a shape that represents an image. 
     
     
         4 . The shoe of  claim 1 , further including a second transparent window formed within the upper, the second window being completely contained within the upper such that the material of the upper completely surrounds the second window. 
     
     
         5 . The shoe of  claim 4 , wherein the second window is formed on the same side of the upper relative to the first window. 
     
     
         6 . The shoe of  claim 4 , wherein the second window is formed on an opposite side of the upper relative to the first window. 
     
     
         7 . The shoe of  claim 1 , wherein the first transparent window comprises an opening formed in the upper with a transparent material being disposed over the opening. 
     
     
         8 . The shoe of  claim 1 , further including an innerliner that is disposed within an interior of the shoe and is constructed to be worn on a foot such that a selected portion of the innerliner aligns with and display through the window. 
     
     
         9 . The shoe of  claim 8 , wherein the selected portion of the innerliner includes graphic content for display through the window. 
     
     
         10 . The shoe of  claim 1 , wherein the first transparent window comprises an opening formed in the upper with a transparent material being disposed over the opening, the transparent material being tinted so as to alter an appearance of an object placed within the interior of the shoe. 
     
     
         11 . The shoe of  claim 1 , wherein the first transparent window comprises an opening formed in the upper with a transparent material being disposed over the opening, the transparent material has magnification properties so as to enlarge an appearance of an object placed within the interior of the shoe. 
     
     
         12 . The shoe of  claim 1 , wherein the first transparent window comprises an opening formed in the upper with a transparent material being disposed over the opening, the transparent material being a material that alters a direction of light that passes through therethrough. 
     
     
         13 . The shoe of  claim 12 , wherein the light is altered such that it has an emanating effecting in that an object within the interior appears to emanate from the window. 
     
     
         14 . The shoe of  claim 1 , wherein the first transparent window comprises an opening formed in the upper with a transparent material being disposed over the opening, the transparent material creating a three dimensional appearance. 
     
     
         15 . The shoe of  claim 1 , wherein the first transparent window comprises an opening formed in the upper with a transparent material being disposed over the opening, the transparent material having at least two distinct appearances. 
     
     
         16 . The shoe of  claim 15 , wherein the transparent material has a plurality of different sections each transmitting a different degree of light. 
     
     
         17 . The shoe of  claim 1 , wherein the first transparent window comprises an opening formed in the upper with a transparent material being disposed over the opening, the transparent material containing non-transparent components. 
     
     
         18 . The shoe of  claim 16 , wherein the non-transparent component comprises sparkles. 
     
     
         19 . The shoe of  claim 1 , wherein the first transparent window is formed of a layered structure with a fluid being contained between two layers of the first transparent window. 
     
     
         20 . The shoe of  claim 19 , wherein the fluid includes ferromagnetic materials which move freely within the fluid. 
     
     
         21 . The shoe of  claim 20 , further including an innerliner that is disposed within an interior of the shoe and is constructed to be worn on a foot such that a selected portion of the innerliner aligns with and display through the window, wherein the innerliner includes a magnetic material that attracts the ferromagnetic materials contained within the fluid. 
     
     
         22 . A shoe comprising:
 a sole; and   an upper attached to the sole, wherein the upper has a first transparent window formed therein, wherein the first transparent window comprises an opening formed in the upper with a transparent material being disposed over the opening, the transparent material being configured to alter an appearance of an object disposed within an interior of the shoe that is visible through the window.   
     
     
         23 . The shoe of  claim 22 , wherein the object comprises an innerliner that is disposed within an interior of the shoe and is constructed to be worn on a foot such that a selected portion of the innerliner aligns with and display through the window, wherein the selected portion of the innerliner includes graphic content for display through the window. 
     
     
         24 . A shoe comprising:
 a sole; and   an upper attached to the sole, wherein the upper has a first transparent window formed therein, the first window having a shape defined by an opening and further including a material disposed across the opening, the material being selected such that an interior of the shoe is visible.
