Instructional baseball

Abstract

An instructional ball having an inner core, an outer core is an ellipsoid, and an outer cover. The instructional ball has an ellipsoid shape, a longitudinal axis, and a generally circular transverse cross-section along a transverse axis.

1 . An instructional ball, comprising:
 a. a inner core;   b. an outer core is an ellipsoid; and   c. an outer cover.   
       wherein the ball has an ellipsoid shape, a longitudinal axis, and a generally circular transverse crosssection along a transverse axis; and the inner core is heavier than the inner core. 
     
     
         2 . The instructional ball as claimed in  claim 1 , wherein the cover is two piecies of material that transversely cross about the longitudinal axis when applied around the outer core. 
     
     
         3 . The instructional ball as claimed in  claim 1 , wherein the inner core of the ball is selected group consisting of plastic material, rubber, and a combination thereof. 
     
     
         4 . The instructional ball as claimed in  claim 1 , wherein the inner core is in the center of the body. 
     
     
         5 . The instructional ball as claimed in  claim 1 , wherein the inner core and the outer core are separate from each other. 
     
     
         6 . The instructional ball as claimed in  claim 1 , wherein the cover is two pieces of leather that are stitched together using 108 stitches of thread. 
     
     
         7 . The instructional ball as claimed in  claim 1 , wherein the ball is about 5 ounces in weight. 
     
     
         8 . The instructional ball as claimed in  claim 1 , wherein the cross-section along the center of the loginitudinal axis is substantially similar to that that of a regulation baseball. 
     
     
         9 . The instructional ball as claimed in  claim 1 , wherien the inner core is generally spherical. 
     
     
         10 . An instructional ball, comprising:
 a. a inner core;   b. an outer core is an ellipsoid; and   c. an outer coverg,   
       wherein the ball has an ellipsoid shape, a longitudinal axis, and a generally circular transverse crosssection along a transverse axis; the inner core is heavier than the inner core; the longitudinal perimeter is between about 7 inches and 11 inches; the longitudinal perimeter is about 9 inches; and the ball is about 5 ounces in weight. 
     
     
         11 . The instructional ball as claimed in  claim 1 , wherein the inner core is generally spherical. 
     
     
         12 . The instructional ball as claimed in  claim 1 , wherein the inner core of the ball is selected group consisting of plastic, cork, rubber, and a combination thereof. 
     
     
         13 . The instructional ball as claimed in  claim 1 , wherein the inner core is in the center of the body. 
     
     
         14 . The instructional ball as claimed in  claim 1 , wherein the cover is two pieces of leather that are stitched together using 108 stitches of thread. 
     
     
         15 . The instructional ball as claimed in  claim 14 , wherein the ball has the cross-section substantially similar to that that of a regulation baseball. 
     
     
         16 . A method for improving a pitcher's ability to throw a ball in a sport comprising:
 a. providing the pitcher with a instructional ball that is football-shaped body having a longitudinal axis and a generally circular transverse cross section, which has an inner core and outer core;   b. having the pitcher grip the body; and   c. repeatedly throwing the ball, whereby the repetition allows the correct muscle groups to develop and to adapt to throw the gyroball pitch.   
     
     
         17 . The method of  claim 1 , wherein the ball has an ellipsoid shape, a longitudinal axis, and a generally circular transverse crosssection along a transverse axis; the inner core is heavier than the inner core; the longitudinal perimeter is between about 7 inches and 11 inches; the longitudinal perimeter is about 9 inches; and the ball is about 5 ounces in weight. 
     
     
         18 . The method of  claim 1 , wherein the inner core of the ball is selected group consisting of plastic material, rubber, and a combination thereof. 
     
     
         19 . The method of  claim 1 , wherein the sport is a baseball. 
     
     
         20 . The method of  claim 1 , wherein the sport is a softball.
