Wagering game with randomly awarded feature game attributes

Abstract

Disclosed are games, gaming machines, gaming systems and methods including a feature game having attributes at least partially determined by one or more random outcomes of an attribute determination game played prior to the play of the feature game itself.

1 . A wagering game comprising:
 an interface activatable by a player;   a primary game which may be enabled for play upon activation of the interface by the player;   a feature game activated by a triggering event, the feature game comprising attributes at least partially determined by one or more random outcomes of plays of an attribute determination game played subsequent to the triggering event and prior to the play of the feature game itself.   
     
     
         2 . The game of  claim 1  wherein the attribute determination game comprises a slot machine game and wherein awards associated with the slot machine game include one or more of the feature game attributes. 
     
     
         3 . The game of  claim 1  wherein the number of plays of the attribute determination game is based on the amount of a wager made by the player. 
     
     
         4 . The game of  claim 1  wherein the feature game attributes comprise a number of free games. 
     
     
         5 . The game of  claim 1  wherein the feature game attributes comprise a multiplier associated with awards of the feature game. 
     
     
         6 . A method of operating a game controlled by a gaming machine comprising the steps of:
 accepting a wager from a player;   presenting a primary game;   awarding any primary game awards to the player;   upon a triggering event, presenting one or more attribute determination game plays;   presenting a feature game based on attributes determined by the outcomes of the attribute determination game plays; and   awarding any feature game awards to the player.   
     
     
         7 . The method of  claim 6  wherein the attribute determination game plays comprise one or more spins of a slot machine game and wherein awards associated with the slot machine game include attributes to be determined by attribute determination game. 
     
     
         8 . The game of  claim 1  wherein the number of plays of the attribute determination game is based on the amount of a wager made by the player. 
     
     
         9 . The game of  claim 1  wherein the determined attributes comprise a number of free games. 
     
     
         10 . The game of  claim 1  wherein the determined attributes comprise a multiplier associated with awards of the feature game.
