Abstract

The Application discloses People & Cargo Transit Systems & Vehicles (PCTSV), using Narrow Vehicles (NV), which can have the form of a Bus, Train, Tram, Maglev, Mono-Rail or even Car or Truck. A prefered version of which is Single Seat Wide or below 70 cm wide, preferably a Bus type to need no Rail, using Dedicated Narrow Lanes adjacent to Curbside of existing intra-city streets or limits of inter-city roads. Said NV and Lane have Anti-Roll Over Means to stablize such a narrow vehicle, which also eliminate NV Swaying even when NV is a Bus or Car with has no inherent Sway Limiting. Being Ultra Narrow with No Sway and Running at Curbside results in Negligible or No Blocking of other vehicles by NV.Said Lane/Tack, Anti-Sway & Anti-Roll Structures all Allow being Run Over by other Traffic and have structures not to be damaged, thus can be crossed over at Crossroads and other entrances and exits along said Lane. NV has enough Doors and is Narrow, hence each Passenger can reach a seat or exit, with No Isle inside it to walk along. So it can have Low Profile, like a Sports Car, some 120 cm tall. Hence it is easy to have Covered Trenches at cross roads for non-stop crossing. Trenches can nm along most or all the Track, in which case adherence to streets and roads is releived. Such Narrow and Shallow Trenches take a tiny fraction of time and costs of Skyways or Subways. Each Passenger thus can have her own door, own seat, in a small Cabin, which can be oppened and closed to next Cabin, have reclining seats to join to that of next Cabin to sleep on, have laptop tray, etc. All those make PCTSV much more appealing to user's, even better than private transport. There are many Variations other than above. There is an NV Car for the last mile and or long distance use, which can integrate with NV Public Transit. Also modifications to NVs for use in Cargo and Parcel Transit.

         29 . A transit system having a number of public roads, each road having a number of lanes along which lanes a number of transporters of people and cargo run, where:
 a number of tracks run alongside but off said lanes,   said lanes are wide enough to allow flow of said transporters, without infringing on said tracks,   said tracks are narrow enough that at least one track can run along said road, together with the same number of lanes on same road had there been no tracks,   a number of vehicles run within said tracks without infringing on said lanes,   at least some of said vehicles are primarily for passenger transit,   most of said passenger vehicles have seats for most of their passengers,   structure of said vehicles is minimized assuming all passengers seated in a car and minimized height,   there are maximum one seat per row across the width of said vehicles' seated space, consuming almost all the vehicle's inside width,   all aisles, if any, in said vehicles for access to said passenger seats are across the vehicle width,   said vehicles have at least one exit and entry accessible by each seated passenger, which access requires at most moving across the vehicle's width, without walking along the vehicle's length,   said vehicles have means to substantially eliminate vehicle swaying automatically, and   said tracks are paved, said vehicles wheels are off any weight bearing rail and touch said pavement.   
     
     
         30 . The transit system of  claim 29  where at least some of said tracks are carved off existing roads, maintaining said road's width at same level as before carving. 
     
     
         31 . The transit system of  claim 29  where at least some of the vehicles have means for preventing vehicle rolling over, which means are integral to the vehicle and independent of the track. 
     
     
         32 . The transit system of of  claim 29  where at least some of the tracks have means for preventing vehicle rolling over, in coordination with said vehicles.

The transit system of  claim 29  where at least some of said tracks are carved off existing roads, maintaining said road's width at same level as before carving and at least some of the tracks have means for preventing vehicle rolling over in coordination with said vehicles. 
     
     
         34 . The transit system of  claim 29  where for at least some said vehicles all passengers are seated as if inside a sports car and that the vehicle's essentail height is minimized to transit essentials. 
     
     
         35 . The transit system of  claim 29  where for at least some said vehicles all passengers are seated as if inside a racing car and that the vehicle's height is minimized to transit essentials. 
     
     
         36 . The transit system of  claim 29  where for at least some said vehicles all passengers are stretched lying inside and that the vehicle's height is substantially minimal accordingly.

The transit system of  claims 29 , where at least for some of the cross roads, at least some of said tracks avoid stopping for crossing transporters using a system chosen from one or going over a bridge above and going through a tunnel under said bridges, which bridge or tunnel have minimal size, underground destruction, overhead obstruction and cost, made possible by narrow and minimal heights of said vehicles.

The transit system of  claim 29 , where at least some of said tracks run through a trench across at least some of the cross roads, which trench top is covered and distinct from the road surface adjacent to said top, which trench has minimal size, destruction and cost, due to narrow and low heights of said vehicles. 
     
     
         39 . The transit system of  claim 29  where said vehicles have any number of the forms chosen from one, two, three, four, five, six and more rows of seats along their length. 
     
     
         40 . The transit system  claim 29  where for at least some seats, any access from at least some of any adjacent seat is blocked by, hence each seat is in a private cabin. 
     
     
         429 . The transit system of  claim 29  where at least some seats are reclinable and any screen between such seats and at least one next row seat is removable, to form a bed from said consecutive seats. 
     
     
         42 . The transit system of  claim 29  where said vehilces have passenger entry and or exits on both sides of the vehicle.

The transit system of  claim 29  where poles, fences, walls and or other barriers are effected along at least one side of at least some of the track's length for at least some tracks, at least some of which walls are impermeable enough to control plowed snow from entering the track. 
     
     
         44 . The transit system of  claim 29  where at least some of the vehicles have means to be mechanically coupled with and uncoupled from another vehicle end to front and or front to end, enabling formation of trains of said vehicles that run by same mannual or automatic driver. 
     
     
         45 . The transit system of  claim 29  where at least some of the vehicles have means to be wirelessly coupled with and uncoupled from another vehicle end to front and or front to end, enabling formation of trains of said vehicles that run by same manual or automatic driver. 
     
     
         46 . The transit system of any of  claims 29  to  44  where at least some of the vehicles have means to accommodate scooters, bicycles, motor cycles, wheelchairs, microcars and or other personal carriers.

The transit system of  claim 29  where at least some of the vehicles have means to accommodate scooters, bicycles, motor cycles, wheelchairs, microcars and or other personal carriers, which means include a flatbed which is almost level with and close enough to at least some of the platforms at which said vehicles stop for loading and unloading, to enable said carriers to drive off the platforms on said flatbeds. 
     
     
         48 . The transit system of  claim 29  where at least some of said vehicles and at least some of stops for loading and unloading are geared for cargo transit.
