Abstract

Multilayer composite materials which comprise a plastics foil permeable to water vapour, method for production of the same and use of the same Multilayered composite materials comprising as components: (A) a water vapor permeable plastics foil, (B) optionally at least one bonding layer and (C) a polyurethane layer with capillaries passing through the entire thickness of the polyurethane layer.

1 . A multilayered composite material comprising as components:
 (A) a plastics foil having a water vapor permeability greater than 1.5 mg/cm 2 h, measured according to German standard specification DIN 53333,   (B) optionally at least one bonding layer and   (C) a polyurethane layer with capillaries having an average diameter in the range of from 0.005 to 0.05 mm and passing through the entire thickness of the polyurethane layer.   
     
     
         2 . The multilayered composite material according to  claim 1 , wherein the water vapor permeable plastics foil (A) is selected from self-supporting films/sheets of fluorinated polymers and of chemically modified polyesters. 
     
     
         3 . The multilayered composite material according to  claim 1 , wherein the bonding layer (B) comprises a layer of a cured organic adhesive. 
     
     
         4 . The multilayered composite material according to  claim 1 , which further comprises an interlayer (D) selected from leather, textile, paper and batt materials. 
     
     
         5 . The multilayered composite material according to  claim 1 , wherein the polyurethane layer (C) has a velvetlike appearance. 
     
     
         6 . The multilayered composite material according to  claim 1 , wherein the bonding layer (B) comprises an interrupted layer of a cured organic adhesive. 
     
     
         7 . The multilayered composite material according to  claim 2 , wherein the fluorinated polymers comprise polytetrafluoroethylene. 
     
     
         8 . A process for producing a multilayered composite material according to  claim 1 , which comprises forming the polyurethane layer (C) with the aid of a mold, applying at least one organic adhesive uniformly or partially onto the water vapor permeable plastics foil (A) and/or onto the polyurethane layer (C) and then bonding the polyurethane layer (C) pointwise, stripwise or areawise to the water vapor permeable plastics foil (A). 
     
     
         9 . The process according to  claim 8 , wherein the polyurethane layer (C) is formed with the aid of a silicone mold. 
     
     
         10 . The process according to  claim 9 , wherein the silicone mold is structured with the aid of laser engraving. 
     
     
         11 . The process according to  claim 8 , wherein the mold is structured by using a laser to cut wells into the mold which have an average depth in the range from 50 to 250 μm and a center-to-center spacing in the range from 50 to 250 μm. 
     
     
         12 . The process according to  claim 8 , wherein an interlayer (D) is placed between the water vapor permeable plastics foil (A) and the bonding layer (B), between the bonding layer (B) and the polyurethane layer (C), or between two bonding layers (B). 
     
     
         13 . The use of a multilayered composite material according to  claim 1  as a packaging material. 
     
     
         14 . A packaging material consisting of or obtained using a multilayered composite material according to  claim 1 . 
     
     
         15 . The use of a multilayered composite material according to  claim 1  as a constituent of an apparel piece. 
     
     
         16 . An apparel piece obtained by using a multilayered composite material according to  claim 1 . 
     
     
         17 . The multilayered composite material according to  claim 2 , wherein the bonding layer (B) comprises a layer of a cured organic adhesive. 
     
     
         18 . The multilayered composite material according to  claim 2 , which further comprises an interlayer (D) selected from leather, textile, paper and batt materials. 
     
     
         19 . The multilayered composite material according to  claim 3 , which further comprises an interlayer (D) selected from leather, textile, paper and batt materials. 
     
     
         20 . The multilayered composite material according to  claim 2 , wherein the polyurethane layer (C) has a velvetlike appearance.
