Abstract

The present invention is an oral dosage composition for prevention and treatment of hepatic inflammation such as NASH. The present invention is an oral dosage composition for prevention or treatment of hepatic inflammation, contains the radical scavenging active spirulina powder effective in preventing, ameliorating, and curing NASH or the like.

An oral dosage composition for prevention or treatment of non-alcoholic steatohepatitis, said oral dosage composition comprising spirulina as an effective ingredient, wherein said oral dosage composition has a hydroxyl radical scavenging activity with IC 50  value ranging from 3000 μg/ml to 100 μg/ml determined by electron spin resonance spectroscopy—spin trapping method.
