Abstract

Iscom particles can be used as an adjuvant for preparing of an antigenic composition which comprises live micro-organisms and/or killed micro-organisms and/or antigenic molecules. A composition may comprise at least one iscom particle and one or more live micro-organisms and/or killed micro-organisms and/or antigenic molecules. A kit can comprise at least one compartment containing at least one living organism and at least one compartment containing at least one iscom particle.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 - 17 . (canceled)

         18 . A kit of parts comprising:
at least one compartment comprising at least one living micro-organism; and at least one compartment comprising at least one iscom particle.

19 . The kit according to claim 18 , further comprising at least one killed or inactivated micro-organism, which may be present in a further compartment or in the same compartment as the at least one compartment comprising the at least one iscom particle.

20 . The kit according to claim 18 or 19 , wherein the kit further comprises one or more antigenic molecules.

21 . The kit according to claim 18 or 19 , wherein the iscom particle is an iscom comprising at least one glycoside, at least one lipid, and at least one hydrophobic protein or peptide-containing antigen.

22 . The kit according to claim 21 , wherein the iscom particle comprises at least one glycoside fragment from Quillaja Saponaria Molina.

23 . The kit according to claim 22 , wherein the iscom particle comprises Fraction A and/or Fraction C of Quil A of Quillaja Saponaria Molina.

24 . The kit according to claim 18 or 19 , wherein the iscom particle is an iscom-matrix, comprising at least one glycoside and at least one lipid.

25 . The kit according to claim 24 , wherein the iscom particle comprises at least one glycoside fragment from Quillaja Saponaria Molina.

26 . The kit according to claim 25 , wherein the iscom particle comprises Fraction A and/or Fraction C of Quil A of Quillaja Saponaria Molina.

27 . The kit according to claim 18 or 19 , wherein the living micro-organism is a virus.

28 . The kit according to claim 18 or 19 , further comprising a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier, diluent, excipient, or additive.

29 . The kit according to claims 18 or 19 , wherein the kit has components that are used in a method of preparing an antigenic composition comprising at least one iscom particle and at least one living micro-organism.

30 . A method of use of the kit according to claim 18 comprising:
mixing the at least one living micro-organism and the at least one iscom particle in a single composition; and
administering the single composition to a host.

31 . A method of use of the kit according to claim 18 comprising co-administering to a host at the same event the at least one living micro-organism and the at least one iscom particle.

32 . The method according to claims 30 or 31 , wherein the host is a human.

33 . A method of use of the kit according to claim 19 comprising:
mixing the at least one living micro-organism, the at least one iscom particle, and the at least one killed or inactivated micro-organism in a single composition; and
administering the single composition to a host.

34 . A method of use of the kit according to claim 19 comprising co-administering to a host at the same event the at least one living micro-organism, the at least one iscom particle, and the at least one killed or inactivated micro-organism.

35 . The method according to claim 33 or 34 , wherein the host is a human.
