Abstract

The present invention discloses an elastic drawstring bag constructed from a first panel and a second panel. The first panel and the second panel are continuously joined along a first side, a bottom, and a second side. The bag defines a first upper corner, a second upper corner, and a bag width. A first hem extends between the first upper corner and the second upper corner, with a first elastic drawstring disposed within the first hem. A first one or more seals is proximate to the first upper corner of the bag, the first one or more seals welding the first elastic drawstring, the first panel, and the second panel together. A second one or more seals is proximate to the second upper corner of the bag, the second one or more seals welding the first elastic drawstring, the first panel, and the second panel together. An upper opening width being defined as the distance between an inner boundary of the first one or more seals and an inner boundary of the second one or more seals, the upper opening width being less than the bag width.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . An elastic drawstring bag comprising:
a bag comprising a first panel and a second panel, the first panel and the second panel continuously joined along a first side, a bottom, and a second side, the bag further defining a first upper corner, a second upper corner, and a bag width, a first hem extending between the first upper corner and the second upper corner, a first elastic drawstring disposed within the first hem, and a first one or more seals proximate to the first upper corner of the bag, the first one or more seals welding the first elastic drawstring, the first panel, and the second panel together, a second one or more seals proximate to the second upper corner of the bag, the second one or more seals welding the first elastic drawstring, the first panel, and the second panel together, an upper opening width being defined as the distance between an inner boundary of the first one or more seals and an inner boundary of the second one or more seals, the upper opening width being less than the bag width.

2 . The elastic drawstring bag of claim 1 , further comprising,
the first one or more seals comprising a multi-seal set.

3 . The elastic drawstring bag of claim 2 , further comprising,
the first one or more seals comprising three seals.

4 . The elastic drawstring bag of claim 2 , further comprising,
the second one or more seals comprising a multi-seal set.

5 . The elastic drawstring bag of claim 4 , further comprising,
the first one or more seals comprising three seals, and the second one or more seals comprising three seals.

6 . The elastic drawstring bag of claim 2 , further comprising,
the second one or more seals comprising a single seal which extends from the second side to a side seal of the second side, the inner boundary of the second one or more seals being collinear with the side seal of the second side.

7 . The elastic drawstring bag of claim 2 , further comprising,
the second one or more seals comprising an oversized seal, the oversized seal extending from the second side beyond a side seal of the second side, the inner boundary of the second one or more seals being located inward from the side seal of the second side.

8 . The elastic drawstring bag of claim 1 , further comprising,
the first one or more seals comprising an oversized seal, the oversized seal extending from the first side beyond a side seal of the first side, the inner boundary of the first one or more seals one or more seals being located inward from the side seal of the first side.

9 . The elastic drawstring bag of claim 8 , further comprising,
the second one or more seals comprising a single seal which extends from the second side to a side seal of the second side, the inner boundary of the second one or more seals being collinear with the side seal of the second side.

10 . The elastic drawstring bag of claim 1 , further comprising
a second hem extending between the first upper corner and the second upper corner, a second elastic drawstring disposed within the second hem, and the first one or more seals proximate to the first upper corner of the bag, the first one or more seals welding the first elastic drawstring, the second elastic drawstring, the first panel, and the second panel together, and the second one or more seals proximate to the second upper corner of the bag, the second one or more seals welding the first elastic drawstring, the second elastic drawstring, the first panel, and the second panel together.

11 . The elastic drawstring bag of claim 1 , further comprising:
a first centrally-located cut-out hole in the first hem for accessing the first elastic drawstring.

12 . The elastic drawstring bag of claim 11 , further comprising:
a second centrally-located cut-out hole in the second hem for accessing the second elastic drawstring.
