Sanitary-ergonomic toilet seat lifter

Abstract

A uniquely constructed toilet seat lifter designed to minimize damage to body parts, complicated machinery and expense associated with conventional toilet seat lifters includes a spindle and handle having precise dimensions allowing the handle to rotate about the spindle thereof, a base that is fixed to said spindle and mounted to a toilet seat. Accordingly, structures of the arm are in balance while the device is being used so as to minimize damage to the user. The device is designed to have only one moving part so as to minimize complication and expense to the individual.

I claim: 
     
         1 . A seat lifter for securing to the bottom side of a toilet seat, the toilet seat having a flat underside, said seat lifter comprising:
 A spindle molded to conform to and attach to the bottom side of a toilet seat;   A handle molded to conform to and surround said spindle so as to allow 360 degrees rotation about said spindle, so as to minimize discomfort and damage to the user's joints and keeping the user's hand out of contact with dangerous microbes.   
     
     
         2 . A seat lifter according to  claim 1  wherein said invention has only one moving part, so as to make it inexpensive to manufacture and purchase. 
     
     
         3 . A seat lifter according to  claim 2  wherein said invention is adaptable to toilets already in use. 
     
     
         4 . A seat lifter according to  claim 3  wherein the device is low tech and not complicated to operate and repair.
