Abstract

The device is formed of a flat polymerized plastic strip ( 1 ) which is on one side provided with locking projections ( 3 ) made of the same material. The locking projections are preferably formed such that they can penetrate natural hair and can be engage with similar locking projections ( 3 ) of a counter-member. The two-dimensional engagement of the fastening device with the one layer of hair ( 7 ) results in a durable attachment of the device in the predetermined position. For attaching extraneous elements ( 6 ) on the fastening device, the plastic strip ( 1 ) is provided with an adhesive layer ( 5 ) on the flat side thereof.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
- 50 . (canceled)

. A fastening device attachable to natural hair, comprising: a thin, two-dimensional plastic strip having one or more extraneous elements on a flat side of the plastic strip facing away from a fastening position, and one or more first locking projections at a fastening side of the plastic strip facing the fastening position, wherein the first locking projections each have a shaped cross-section configured so that, in the fastening position, the first locking projections penetrate the natural hair and interlock with one or more similar second locking projections on a foldable section of the plastic strip.

. The fastening device of claim 51 , wherein the cross-section of the one or more first locking projections is hook-shaped.

. The fastening device of claim 51 , wherein the cross-section of the one or more first locking projections is mushroom head-shaped.

. The fastening device of claim 51 , wherein the fastening side includes between about 10 and about 300 first locking projections that are arranged per cm 2 .

. The fastening device of claim 51 , wherein the foldable section is generated from the plastic strip by a punching step.

. The fastening device of claim 51 , wherein one or more recesses are provided at a bending position of the plastic strip interposed the one or more first and second locking projections to minimize a material-dependent restoring affinity.

. The fastening device of claim 51 , wherein the one or more first and second locking projections each have a material thickness between about 0.2 mm and about 1.5 mm.

. The fastening device of claim 51 , wherein the plastic strip is made of a transparent, deformable plastic.

. The fastening device of claim 51 , wherein the plastic strip has an elongate shape and a surface between about 1.2 cm 2 and about 8 cm 2 .

. The fastening device of claim 51 , wherein the fastening side includes a complete or partial coating that increases the friction coefficient between the natural hair and the fastening side.

. The fastening device of claim 51 , wherein the plastic strip includes an adhesive layer on the flat side, the adhesive layer being a hot-melt adhesive and/or an unsupported acrylate film of about 50 μm to about 300 μm.

. The fastening device of claim 51 , further comprising a presentation surface made of the one or more extraneous elements that is formed on the flat side, wherein the extraneous elements include one or more fibers that are arranged side-by-side in bundles or two-dimensionally.

. The fastening device of claim 62 , wherein the one or more extraneous elements include a plurality of differently dyed fibers.

. The fastening device of claim 62 , wherein the one or more fibers, prior to application to an adhesive layer on the flat side, are sewed together two-dimensionally at a sowing position located on the plastic strip or outside the plastic strip with at least one sewing thread having a thermo-plastically deformable material.

. The fastening device of claim 62 , wherein the one or more extraneous elements applied two-dimensionally on the plastic strip include a fabric containing indicia of numbers, characters, colors, logos, writings, and/or photos.

. The fastening device of claim 62 , wherein the one or more extraneous elements applied two-dimensionally on the plastic strip include a plastic foil containing indicia of numbers, characters, colors, logs, writings, and/or photos, the plastic foil being transparent or colored.

. The fastening device of claim 62 , wherein the one or more extraneous elements applied two-dimensionally on the plastic strip include a thinly rolled metal foil provided with a pattern by punching or etching, wherein the pattern includes numbers, characters, colors, logos, writings and/or photos.

. The fastening device of claim 62 , further comprising one or more decorative elements proximate the presentation surface.

. The fastening device of claim 68 , wherein the decorative elements are pearls, gemstones, Swarovski-stones, sequins or light generating elements attached on the presentation surface of the fastening device.

. A fastening device attachable to natural hair, comprising:
one or more extraneous elements on a flat side of the fastening device facing away from a fastening position; one or more first locking projections at a fastening side of the fastening device facing the fastening position, the one or more first locking projections each having a hook-shape configured so that the locking projections penetrate natural hair and interlock, when in the fastening position, with similar second locking projections on a foldable section of the fastening device; and one or more recesses in the fastening device at a bending position interposed the first and second locking projections configured to minimize a material-dependent restoring affinity.
